Wonder if Gene Simmons will have any more advice to impart to Adam :  (yes, I do hold grudges!). LMAO!! I'd be lying if I said I didn't joke about "Hey, maybe we'll get a pic with Gene Simmons ..." Yeah, Gene, how's that advice working for ya? And LOL, Seashell, Kim K. nauseating to think of the people who will be there. : : I happened to catch an episode of the "Insider" or one of those shows while killing time until SYTYCD came on and it was all about how Kim K. and Vera Wang are "besties" now that VW is working on KK's dress and how HUUUGE and OTT this wedding is going to be. It's basically a reality show – extended commercial, I think. Please, Adam, stay faaaaaaaaarrrr away!!! |

All rock singing is not Kiss style...shows what an ego maniac Gene either is... or portrays. Adam...got in his own retort... said "nice guitar work" (... Kiss's instument synching on Idol was just too obvious..laughable). As a side note: My cousin from Saskatoon, (Canada) was in for a family gathering. She went to the same school as Shannon Tweed, a famous Canadian porn star, Gene's significant other. My cousin was friends with Shannon's sister and got invited to a summer event just broadcast on their reality show. Supposedly they are breaking up...or causing drama for their reality show as Shannon stayed in Saskatoon. Interesting to see my cousin in pictures with the both of them. Gene has had so much plastic surgery as well as Shannon... it is hard to recognize him in particular. Kind of like Kenny Rogers. I hope Adam loves his face as much as I/we do. And Adam is pretty good at come backs...no one takes our Adam out for long! |

Eh Facebook... The best way to describe my attitude toward Facebook is to relate a (summarized) conversation between my younger sister and myself. [/b]. Sis: You'd know what was going on if you read my Facebook. Me: Kid, not interested in the Facebook. Interested in you. Sis: Well, what I am is on Facebook. [/ul] Unlike my sister, I have absolutely no interest in having my life out in the open for everyone and his mother to see. Even if your settings are private, it's as private as a conversation in an outside park where random people, some who you know well, some you don't know as well, along with the occasional stranger walk by. Different people know different aspects of my life, and frankly, they're not all equally compatible. Some people I'd be ok with them seeing pics of my kid. Others I'd be comfortable with discussing music, theater, and my general hatred of team sports. But I'm just not comfortable with all people seeing all things and keeping separate accounts for separate groups of people is just WORK. Frankly, I don't have a lot of free time, and what I do have is spent on my family (and Adam stanning!). I have absolutely no desire to have to work to determine and/or control who has access to the personal stuff in my life. There's only a 5-year gap between my sister and myself. However, our attitudes toward social media (and hell, issues like "digital sharing") could not be more different. I find Facebook to almost being a "Peeping Tom" experience...except the people engaging in it are purposefully leaving the windows open. If someone notices you picking your nose as you go about your day, that just happens. ...However, if I'm gonna scratch my butt, I wanna do it in private! ;D ETA: Relating this to Adam... Despite my level of Adam fanaticism, I (and those who feel like me about social media transparency) aren't ever gonna improve his Facebook numbers! Particularly since he doesn't seem interested in using Facebook for fan interaction. |

Since it's slow here I'll add my opinion on Facebook. I'm a member but haven't visited in a long time. Most of my extended family and many of my friends are there but I don't care. It bores the hell out of me.  |

I don't use my facebook very much, mostly just to see pictures of family members that live far away. I haven't liked Adam on facebook because I keep that separate from RL, but I am amazed at how fast Adam's FB numbers are growing. Just out of curiosity I have checked several times today and every time it has gone up significantly. People were excited that it passed 2 mil this morning and now it is at 2,104,980!
ETA In the time it took me type this the numbers went up to 2,105,708!

I guess this is OT but I heard Nigel on Ryan's show today saying that he thinks the winner of SYTYCD will be either Melanie or Sasha. Dragging it back on topic - will Adam be at the finale to support his girl? And will he take Sauli? And will we get RC pics?

I don't harbor quite the same animosity, but I will admit, I don't ~get the nuances of FB. Sounds like a battle of wills against you and your sister and she's prepared to do battle.  I'm not entirely sure about this though: This may change with the new management. We'll see. There was a discussion on Twitter as soon as he tweeted his self-promotional tweet this morning about has he been coached by new mgmt? Some joked around that DMG must've taken it over because it had a working link and no exclamation points. I always get prickly when this is suggested because I truly believe if something is being said under his name, it needs to be him – I believe that with any celebrity Twitter account (or Twitter account in general). Even if your tweets are coached or canned, I think it's a tacit understanding between follower and followee that the person whose name is on the account is sending the message. New management may be ready to expand his social media reach, so we might be seeing more FB fan interaction from here on in. |
