Sat down with a glass of wine and Adamtopia; my first time being 'really here' in six weeks.
Just watched and listened to WWTLF in Helsinki; and OMG! The magic is still there! I can still be transported! My first goosebumps in awhile!! The Universe be blessed . . .

STL and all the other songs I've seen so far have been completely off the charts. Sauli, Helsinki, whatever it is, it's a magic potion for Adam. He is truly an alien from somewhere out there where voices are made by the gods. I can't believe his stamina! Someone posted here about how he sings at top volume and throat strength for a string of high-power songs that would rip any other singer to shreds (including some opera singers). No wonder Brian had that amazed look on his face for STL. I don't know how Adam does it. BTW, I don't watch singing shows or music awards shows. After Adam, they just seem kind of superfluous to me. Don't get me wrong. I'm not dissing other singers. I know who's out there and who the big names are, and I'm glad I do. But Adam is Adam and it's all I need.

DANG!! Gelly just pointed out that note is 17 seconds long! Cassie, that can't be easy, right? For a professional opera singer? All in a day's work. For many pop singers? Very difficult. For the everyday, untrained singer, impossible. Since most of us don't routinely listen to highly trained opera singers, it is damned impressive, isn't it? (I am talking about not only sustaining a note for 17 seconds, but sustaining it with gorgeous tone, perfect placement, consistent pitch, and consistent volume and strength.)
