Are you kidding me??? A peace symbol? Really? I wore one religiously all thru high school and college. Made from stained glass, each section a different color. I kept it for many years out of nostalgia, and only gave it away a couple of years ago when I cleaned out all my old jewelry. Now I have to get another one? Hmmm. Maybe I'll just wear it with the autograph facing out. Hahaha my thoughts too. Must be an age thing. Many of us in a certain *uhhummm* age range grew up around the peace symbol, LOL. Aww Adam, yes I can understand it means a lot to you - our hippie child born in a different time... ETA: Perhaps this will inspire the younger generation to bring it back to being the "in" thing in today's age.... Well, it is back in some circles. My kids and their friends wear peace symbols. I see them on cars around town...oh wit a minute..I'm remembering something....*smacks forehead * I live in a liberal city! I guess that's why the peace symbol never went out of style here.

@_Pennyroyal "I believe that peace is exactly what the Trevor Project promotes. Peace of mind, peace amongst our youth, and peace at home....
..."With peace comes comfort and grace and that is my wish for ALL"- Adam Lambert That is all.And THIS too. I expected a key, but he always does the unexpected. The symbol is classic and timeless and though it apparently has baggage for some, it is still very necessary in this world. Obviously it was resonant to many people when they were young an is still resonant to a 29-year-old man. He flashed the peace sign in his New Year's card. It ties past to present and is a simple, enduring message that surely hasn't run its course. He had his "awakening of self" while doing the musical "Hair," it obviously impacted his life very much and it was when he first learned to believe in himself. His message, "Believe in You" is also very simple yet incredibly profound. ETA: P.S. Love your .gifs, adamrocks!!!

His message is simple yet powerful & peaceful and something I wish the rest of the world could see. He is a beautiful man with a beautiful soul.

Well, I just love him. His heart is huge, he knows his fan base is massive and mostly, we are willing and able and happy, happy happy to spend our money where he points.
So the Trevor Project gains, he gets a platform to share the simple, clear message of Peace and self belief and we, his large and willing fan base, get to decide for ourselves, will we wear the necklace, or not? Does it go with my wardrobe? Could I wear that at work? The message in and of itself applies universally. I think my mamas that I serve could benefit from that message around my neck.
I'll probably buy it. I'm such a hippy anyways, may as well.
ETA: adamrocks - YOUR GIFS>>>WOW
and I'm not buying this thing today. I have no time for crashed servers. It is a rare day off for me where I am not sleeping half of it away. must return to real life. I've been mostly berting today and it's been lovely...so many events!! such pretty pictures!! such fabulous interviews!! (35 songs!!! YIppee!!!)
but, yeah, errands need to be run, puppy needs attention, gotta go. see ya'll later
