"Adam gets the comparison because of his looks...and that was a big surprise to him...but AI fans are often old enough to be reminded of Elvis and so the comparisons grew." Some of the "Adam is like Elvis" come from people who are >60 and really remember Elvis. But the majority come from people who are much younger and only know Elvis as an icon. There are many similarities between Adam and Elvis -- some physical, some not. But there is something in the combination of nice-polite man/bad boy-rebel about Adam that is Elvisesque. Anyway Adam seems to be moving away from the Elvis moves in the past year -- which IMHO is a good thing. "Just my opinion...could be wrong...have often been wrong..but don't believe so. Sh###ng on Gaga seems to have become an international sport for some reason." The criticism that Gaga gets is much less than the fame and positive press she has received -- goes together. I actually think that Bieber is the one how gets unfairly criticized by people -- often who have never seen him perform or listened to his music or thought for one moment about his target audience and what they like. Anyway -- Patti Smith was authentic and it was great, this is just a gimmick. I think Gaga is more talented than these attempts to get press with shock-value stchick. But JMHO. I wish she was get back to making great music. GaGa Rip-OffsMy first thought was that GaGa was paying homage to Bette Midler with the mermaid in a wheelchair stick. However, GaGa hasn't explained it that way. I'm thinking that she's being too stubborn to explain herself. I don't know that you could call Gaga's Elvis look on the video an Annie Lennox rip-off. Could anyone actually count the number of performers that have worn an Elvis look? Also, I thought she looked more like James Dean. As for Adam & the Elvis look, I think it did surprise him on Idol. For the Memphis 2009 night concert, that was a deliberate Elvis look and I'm back to saying he was paying homage to Elvis. He was not trying to rip off Elvis or be an Elvis impersonator.

For everyone who doesn't want the pendant but would like to contribute to the Trevor Project to be a part of this campaign here's the link to donate. There is a an option the write in where you heard about the TP and we could write in Adam Lambrert/ Penny Royal or there's a tribute option but you would need an email address. The fan club email? Just throwing out ideas. www.thetrevorproject.org/donateWould it be possible to keep this link on the front page? That's what I was thinking about too (sorry Adam, but while I really appreciate your thinking behind the choice of the symbol and support of Trevor Project, visually I think "it's cheesy buttercup", personal taste, YMMV, and all that.) Another possibility is to join in here: t.co/0gzIOJs and create a fundraising page as part of Trevor Project's goal of raising $13,000 by the end of August for it's 13th birthday celebration. I (or anyone really) could create an "Adam fans" page, sort of like a charity water fundraising page. That might be another way of showing our support as a group. It looks like this site takes a small percentage of the donation so in that way donating directing to Trevor might be better, but it's still really minimal. t.co/0gzIOJsThoughts? Jaime, I'm happy to go with your suggestion as well.

Annie looks like David Bowie playing Elvis... or is that one pop star too many in the hen house? Whatever, everything is derivative and has been done before if you look. That said Annie kicks Gaga's ass just about in every way IMHO Annie sang with Bowie - I think in 2006 And I listened to Bowie's "singles" records, kind of like greatest hits and they had 20 on a CD.
