Was this posted earlier? More evidence that things are truly changing and everything that's happening in Adam's life is on the razor edge of what's going on these days: www.metroweekly.com/news/?ak=6513Prosecutorial Discretion Homeland Security announces implementation of changes that will enable some in same-sex relationships to avoid deportation by Chris Geidner Published on August 18, 2011, 3:54pm | Comments Responding on behalf of President Barack Obama, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano today sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid detailing that the department is in the process of implementing changes to enable the government to focus its resources on high-priority immigration cases involving crime and other public safety concerns.
A senior administration official says the changes are aimed at moving prosecutorial discretion exercised by immigration enforcement officials from an "ad hoc" system to a system focused on the "highest priorities" that will "eliminate the lowest priority cases" – including, another senior administration official says, same-sex couples where one partner is facing deportation. (more) Yes, and depending on election results this deportation situation will change with every election back and forth. We need a federal regulation on the marriage topic and protection to cover those legal cases. Just read today: Boy adopted in NY by a gay and married couple - but kid is born in Louisiana cannot get health care under NY law, because Louisiana refuses to release an issue of the birth certificate of the child to its parents, because their law does not recognize adoption by gays. States in the US have an agreement with each other to accept other states adoptions. So, regular adoption of one state is always accepted by another. In most other countries (outside of US) the Geneva convention covers this (whole other can of worms, that one), but LO is now playing out their own laws against law and this may take years. Meanwhile the child is without health care. When will it ever stop? ETA: Sauli's visum is a work visum, so not immediately related, but he is dependent on the present job situation. Otherwise he would be immediately effected. Ugh, so sickening!! And when hasn't the Fed and other states honored state laws before? Such BS!!! Two 18-year-olds can get married in five minutes in Nevada, have it be recognized in every state in the union and by the Federal government, but people who have devoted their lives to each other, have no rights. >:( >:( >:( And to subject a child who is wanted to this blatant power-play game is unforgivable.

Gay Gay Topix News by 4evrmomof4 US rep compares being gay to choosing ice cream; New Balance supports LGBTs - Windy City Times - t.co/yFHJcpT #everything 1 hour ago Favorite Retweet Reply Also from this article (since there are people interested in the Sauli/Adam combo). In San Francisco, gay couple Bradford Wells and Anthony John Makk—who have been together 20 years and are married—have been told that one must leave the country by Aug. 25, according to Pink News. Wells has serious AIDS-related problems and Makk, an Australian, is his caregiver; however, since their marriage isn't recognized federally, Makk has been denied permission to remain in the United States. Immigration Equality's Steve Ralls has said, "We are appealing to the Obama administration to begin to put into action what they've said repeatedly they can do." I see the SusieFierce has also added a post on a previous page on this subject.

Q3, you seem so emphatic that the brass transition at RCA has nothing to do with the release dates (and I don't think Adam's has been postponed or jostled – fortunate timing on his part), but I don't see how they couldn't have affected the entire calendar. RCA hasn't had a major release all summer it seems (I follow RCA Music and RCA Promo and they certainly haven't been hyping much from anyone new.) Kelly has been in limbo for months. If TPTB must approve final products, how could they do this if they weren't in place yet? It still seems like they prepared for the shift by keeping the calendar very open this summer. And I don't think they affected Adam's timeline, because his seems to be consistent with what was predicted all along, but to say they haven't affected the corporate timelines at all seems a little difficult to believe. How could a change in the entire corporate structure NOT have some affect on the schedules of the company? Especially when we've witnessed some idleness in July and August. First of all, the entire corporate structure of RCA did not change. Oddly, RCA is the least changed piece of Sony Music Entertainment. The "big" changes..... 1. Jive got folded into RCA - no effect on Adam. 2. Peter Edge named chief executive of the RCA Music Group, which includes the RCA, Jive, J and Arista labels. Since 2007, Edge was president, A&R of RCA Music Group. -- No effect on Adam. Same head of A&R for RCA. 3. Tom Corson was named President & Chief Operating Officer of the RCA Music Group. In this role, he will report to Edge and oversee promotion, marketing, publicity, digital, sales, international, video and operations for the label group. He ysed ti be Executive Vice President/General Manager, RCA Music Group, where he oversaw operations for RCA, J and Arista Records. So the only change is he now has Jive - no effect on Adam. Same guy who ran the show before for RCA is still calling the shots. 4. They consolidated RCA and Jive promo staffs -- no effect on Adam because these are not strategic positions -- they are tactical positions. I do not see what would effect Adam in these changes. He was well into the Adam 2 project before the changes and there seems to be no attempt to change anything. Adam has good numbers and a solid business plan -- why change anything? The big change for Adam was when Barry Weiss left RCA for Universal -- Barry was an openly enthusiastic supporter of Adam. If Adam had not done well with FYE, that would have mattered. But Adam did well so he did not need a high-powered advocate. And he probably never will. So I may be missing something but I do not see any Sony changes that are going to affect Adam. The Jive artists are a different matter.
