Lol I did some checking of Adam's account of those sites the article mentioned. The bots are being generated every week on Thursday it seems. Each Thursday Adam gets an increase of followers. In December the amount was pretty big. In January it's offsetting the drops on the other days more or less.

Some stats I got from there:
So 920,246 of his followers tweeted in the last 30 days, but also 937,107 of his followers (35.6%) never tweeted. Those are most likely bots/ fake accounts. So 64.4% of his followers has tweeted at least once and could be real. I think that is still a pretty good score. ETA: just checked a few others and it's not that great. Kesha has a very good score for instance with almost 94% of followers that tweeted at least once.
Also from that site though:
We checked a random sample of 3,000 followers of the last 75,000 followers, which is a large sample. Other checks may show different results.
45.57% scored less than 2 points and is most likely fake or spam.
76.50% scored less than 4 points and is most likely fake, inactive or not engaged.
10.27% scored at least 6 points and these are mostly active, engaged Twitter users.
Which shows to me the amount of fake accounts/bots who are following Adam is increasing. Either by buying new followers or bots who are created by who knows who.
I also checked Adam's real followers score, but the score they are giving on this website is the score from 2012. It was 76% back then.
