everywhere I turn8.23.11 by Q3 I honestly think that some days that every Adam fan is a yenta. Yenta is a Yiddish woman who is an old gossip. There is a loll in the news, fill it with some gossip. Or better, add some angst to that gossip. So you can "inspire" fans to worry about things that may not be true. And many Adam fans are honorary shadkhin -- Yiddish for matchmaker. They are the experts who know who Adam should be with. Noooooo, he should not choose. Tommy is the right man, Sauli not so much. Drake seems to have no fans but many Adam fans would work to reunite Adam and Cheeks.
Note: The matchmaker in "Fiddler on the Roof" was called yenta but that just meant she was an old gossip not necessarily a matchmaker.Now, let me clarify a bit. All the yentas are not female and are no old, but they are yentas none the less. People who raise worrying to a high art. People who see shadows at every corning. People who cannot just celebrate the achievements but need to languish is the possibly bad outcomes of things that have not happened. And the shadkhins are the most amazing to me. Some are Tommyberts. Other favor Drake+Adam. But my favorite shadkhins are the ones who what to fix Adam up with famous celebrities. Adam + Brad Pitt being the most entertaining combo. So I thought I would take a shot at being an GlamYenta. I heard that Adam was bitten by a rabbit who popped out or the rabbit hole. Now let me tweet that to spread it around. Yes, really. It's true. My cousin works at Mount Sinai Media Center and she was on duty when Adam was brought in to get a tetanus shot for a wild rabbit bite. When the hospital staff found out that he did not have possession of that rabbit, they decided that he needed to be under observation for 48 hours. That is why he has "vanished" for a while Photos? Well she has them. I've seen them. Trust me. This is what happened. So now is the time to worry......will Adam die from rabies? And then let me put my shadkhin (matchmaker) hat on. Adam should be with Tommy. Sauli is on RCA's payroll to distract fans but Adam really loves Tommy. We know it. Just a matter of time and they will be together. Clearly I am just playing around. But looking at Twitter yesterday, I would have thought Adam had three kinds of fans...... Ok, I'm dragging an old conversation here from the previous thread, but please bare with me. I just have to throw this out here...
To say that Adam's taste in men has evolved to better when he now, is involved with a man less effeminate, isn't, strictly speaking, homophobic, but it is narrow-minded. (I don't mind people saying that "I don't like Brad because I think he is phony", but it's a different thing to say "I don't like brad because *insert a stereotypical gay characteristic here*")
There is a portion of fans who, generally speaking, don't mind Adam being gay, as long as he isn't "too gay". The idea of him being gay is part of the package and the intrigue, but still Adam having some certain gay characteristics makes these people uncomfortable. When Adam started dating, some fans blatantly said that they would be happier if he didn't, because they didn't like the idea of Adam actually practicing gay sex in real life. Some fans don't like effeminate characteristics connected to Adam, be it boyfriends or androgynous photo shoots. And some still like to think that Adam will hear the call of the biological "imperative" to procreate and will turn magically bi.
Do these feelings come from the alleged fan fantasy of the fan ending up with the object of the fantasy? Are they about people's discomfort around gay people? Or is it about the discomfort that comes from some people mixing up female and male characteristics?
And by the way, if you understand Finnish, you know that Sauli's tone of speaking is what in Finland is perceived as stereotypically gay. The way that you can listen a person speak for ten seconds and go, "yeah, he's gay". So there.

It's one of the reasons that I felt incredibly sad that Kris has had a wedding ring tattoo done because I wonder if it is less a truly romantic gesture than it is an attempt to end the speculation. I remember him being hounded on twitter a few times when he was photographed without his wedding ring on. |

Re: Kris - I didn't know about the wedding band tattoo. Poor guy. I did know about a blind item a while ago that said that 2 singers had a "thing" and one was married but was going to get a divorce and "come out". I thought that they ended up saying it was Kris and Adam, but that the rest wasn't going to happen or something like that - but, at any rate, closing the blind item.
Poor Kris. I don't want to add to his woes. Blame Reihmer. All those GMA pictures brought back memories. LOL
But seriously, folks......the only boyfriend of Adam's that I have a sense of - personality-wise, is Brad, because of his videos etc. (I like him; he seems very clever and very funny) I don't know what drake was like. And I've never heard Sauli speak English. I think his smile says A LOT. He was very well liked on BB, apparently. But really, do we know if he's macho? I've seen pictures of him on a trampoline dressed as a cheer leader. I also have read that he likes sports. I DON'T CARE EITHER WAY. The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle anyway. From what I've seen and read (in translation & on Twitter), he is adorable and I'm happy as long as they look like they are making each other happy. That is all.
No, one more thing, thank you Emmuzka, for commenting since you DO have an idea of Sauli's personality. He just comes off as so likable and positive. I loved it when he fell of the stool on the Tutka Show (too tired to see if I got the name right). So funny. ;D

Just to put in my two cents worth about Adam and relationships. I don't know him, I don't know the men he has/is dating. I think he and Brad would have been a blast to see together. From interviews and videos they both appear to be quick-witted and intelligent, they had to have fed off of each other. They were young(er) and it must have been fun! Adam did mention in so interview how they would 'workshop' their relationship all the time to ensure they were both getting what they wanted out of the relationship. So it was fun with a dose of dedication. Adam's dedication to Brad in the AI tour book liner notes and the fact that they remain friends speaks volumes about who they were/are to one another.
I never got a sense of who Drake was, but he appeared to be a kindred creative spirit. At the time, that might have been what what they were looking for. That might not have been a recipe for a long term relationship.
Sauli seems to be much like Adam, based on interviews that have been translated and interviews Adam has given. Pictures don't lie, they are usually close physically, if not touching, each other and they often mirror one- another which to me speaks of a close connection. Not to mention Sauli has chosen to move to America, for whatever length of time, to be with him. They appear to have a good thing going.
I just want him to find the same happiness I enjoy with my husband. To be with the person he wants most to be with, just as I am.

The first day of a cleanse is supposed to be easy, but I for one have been short-tempered all day and I'm so hungry. I don't even want to think about tomorrow.. Usually when you start a cleanse you're supposed to cut down considerably on food beforehand, but I just ate till my stomach ached up until the day before.. haha!! So off to a good start! But I said I was going to do this, so I'm going to finish it! Besides, this cleanse has been tested by Brad Pitt, Demi Moore and others.. The brochure said Brad Pitt tried it before Troy. So in four days, this is what's going to be peeking back at me in the mirror: [pic] Not bad.. But of course these cleanses have their benefits, it honestly does you good to rid the body of all the extra toxins.
