The last line of Sauli's blog says it all. "I am sooooo happy" If he is happy and Adam is happy then I am happy amd my husband is happy and life is good. lol

I have a question. Does any one ever get reminded of kurt russel when viewing Adams pictures? One picture from yesterday and one time during idol when he sang tracks I had this strong sense of Kurt Russell. Early on in Idol season 8, I thought that if Adam slicked his hair back, he'd look like Elvis. Then, when he did slick his hair back for TOMT, I thought he looked like Kurt Russell as Elvis in the 1979 TV movie. That is really interesting, emmuzka! I have often wished I could see a video of Sauli speaking English so I could get a better sense of how he expresses himself. The Tutka videos are charming, but I don't understand a word of them. It's fascinating to get the perspective from someone who does!

He speaks English in a few of the Tutka videos, for a short time. I didn't save any of them but maybe someone who did can find one for you, murly. ETA: Found one! Murly if you've never watched one, this one is pretty adorable. He speaks English at 8:18 but not sure if it's a fair sample since he is being very silly and accepting his Oscar! He and Katri are so cute together. I hope they can continue their Tutka shows.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the posts this morning by both Q3 about the excessive worrying and by emmuzka about Adam's relationships. I'm flabbergasted that fans feel free to weigh in on Adam's relationships and specifically their comfort level with whether he or his boyfriend are "too gay." By that I presume they mean too effeminate. I have even heard of gay men who reject Adam because he is too effeminate and flamboyant by some measures. Adam has said he is comfortable having and displaying a masculine and a feminine side and when he was younger even referred to himself as "the son and the daughter" of one of his influences (can't remember which). I think understanding this is an opportunity for personal growth for those of us who haven't been exposed to it before. Being "openly gay" doesn't mean stomping around in plaid and chinos looking and acting like Norman Schwartzkopf, except you happen to like to have sex with dudes. A fan who claims to be OK with Adam's sexuality as long as he doesn't display it is just kidding themselves. As to the cause of some of the remarks that emmuzka mentions, I think there is just plain jealousy involved. That Adam has a part of his life that we straight lady fans can't be involved in and can never be a part of. So there's that ... plus I think deeper sexual revulsion that some people still feel about gay sex. Adam has said he is a top guy which means some of that contempt will always coalesce around Adam's boyfriend. Preach it, Adam (at 3:45)

I read an article you may be interested in reading. Someone has coined a new name for an old game: Erotic Capital. Whatever they call it, I am sure you all will agree that Adam has 'it'... www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/2010/03/have-you-got-erotic-capital/"Erotic capital goes beyond beauty to include sex appeal, charm and social skills, physical fitness and liveliness, sexual competence and skills in self-presentation, such as face-painting, hairstyles, clothing and all the other arts of self-adornment. Most studies capture only one facet of it: photographs measure beauty or sex appeal, psychologists measure confidence and social skills, sex researchers ask about seduction skills and numbers of partners."

My only desire for Adam is that he have whatever it is he needs in his life to live his dreams and be happy. Pretty much the same desire I have for anybody I care about.
I'm thrilled he has a boyfriend. It made me sad when his BF was Drake and there were so many fans who dissed over the poor guy. That could not have been easy for either Adam or Drake.
And maybe it is hard for some fans for Adam to be so obviously gay. I don't coast other boards to find out. I just hang out here where the water's warm and the people are nice. I also strongly feel that those fans need to get over it or move on. Quickly. Dude is gay. Talks gay, walks gay, has gay sex. He's gay. He's not going to change just because some obsessed female fans profess their love for him.
And I do remember after the RS article was published and I was still checking out AO regularly being really surprised at the many unreasonable reactions from the straight women who love Adam. I mean, didn't they already know? Hadn't they seen the pics? Wasn't it so damn obvious before those pics were even leaked? I guess for some, whose overall exposure to "the lifestyle" was limited before Adam showed up, they were unable to detect that Adam Lambert is indeed quite gay.
For me, I figured it out pretty fast and it just made me love him even more. May Adam and Sauli find the best happiness together.

I don't like sharing and I'm always much more fond of Adam's exes than his current SO, real or imagined. I wasn't crazy about Brad until Kris, Kris until Drake, Drake until not yet, Tommy until Sauli, and you can see the pattern. I honestly didn't realize that until I developed a soft spot for Tommy once Sauli came along. However, I don't like the I'm less homophobic than you are.kind of finger pointing. Too much judging and preaching going on for me.

I don't see it. As a matter of fact, until the pics of Adam and Brad came out, I was not convinced he was gay. Having had my most influential music period during the 70s, I saw rock star flamboyance. That article about the androgynous rock stars that someone posted last week, kind of says it all for me. To me, Steven Tyler, appears more gay. My goodness, Tyler looks like he shops at Charlotte Russe! ;D In my world, everything about Adam equaled Rock Star! If that damn Grunge period out of Seattle hadn't happened, I'll bet more people would not even think twice about Adam's appearance. And his stage dancing has never been gay to me. Mick Jagger prancing on stage around goes way beyond ....
