Something else just occured to me - this "delay" may not really be a delay. The couple upcoming things that we actually know about are Majors & Minors and Project Runway. Majors & Minors doesn't start until late September and we don't know when Adam will be on it - since we think he was only there filming for a day or two, one assume as single episode of mentoring. When he fimed for PR, I think the estimates were that he would be on in October. These were planned way in advance and look like they are happening in October, so the single release in October may be exactly what the plan has been. Also, for our friends in Irene's path: Sorry for being a maniac today. ;D That's what you get for making me feel so welcome.

www.buffalorising.com/2011/08/fashion-maniac.htmlFashion Maniac: Androgyny in Fashion Does this trend have legs? Is this the beginning of solidifying it into our minds? Or it will be gone in the blink of an eye? Who knows? We shouldn't be surprised the trend is coming back - everything runs in cycles, and as the saying goes 'everything old is new again'. Lady Gaga is the modern day David Bowie (in his Zingy Stardust and Tall White Night phrase), as Adam Lambert could be today's Adam Ant. Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert, the most contemporary glam king and queen of androgynous fashion today do bear a striking resemblance to the androgynous artists of an earlier era. lo o o o o o o o ong article but we have plenty of time right? kidding. 0% :-/ 10000% here.

I thought the lyrics were good. To me ether could mean sort of like fantasy or craziness, but some of you all were angsting so much I had to go look it up. It's pretty much what I thought. Maybe it's an old hippy saying and that's why it sounded perfectly fine to me (like, lost in the ether etc.). You go Adam. Ignore us. We're BORED!! (and just slightly entitled - but trying not to be) ether n 1: the fifth and highest element after air and earth and fire and water; was believed to be the substance composing all heavenly bodies [syn: quintessence, ether] 2: any of a class of organic compounds that have two hydrocarbon groups linked by an oxygen atom 3: a medium that was once supposed to fill all space and to support the propagation of electromagnetic waves [syn: ether, aether] 4: a colorless volatile highly inflammable liquid formerly used as an inhalation anesthetic [syn: ether, ethoxyethane, divinyl ether, vinyl ether, diethyl ether, ethyl ether]

Other definitions of ether that could be used in Adam's phrase: *the upper regions of space; the clear sky; the heavens *the medium supposed by the anceints to fill the upper regions of space Certainly more poetic - I'm supposing one of these. I've learned a lot (maybe more than I want) from the urban dictionary, but the "old" definitions are worth a look...

Adam Lambert @adamlambert Adam Lambert @glamluver "one day I was trippin, that's when I could see, that the ether that I tapped into could be reality"Could be Burning Man experience and realizing that he could conquer Idol. I like the lyrics and reihmer, that is what came to my mind. Having had ether when I was a child for surgery it puts you into a foggy blur as you are passing out, hahaha... still remember that mask being placed over my nose/mouth and having to look at a clock as I counted backwards. So, yes that lyric has an interpretation I can relate to and see how it could work in a song from an Adam perspective. Sounds interesting... only on page 3 and so far pretty funny thread. Let me echo the * WEEKS!!! NO~!!!

eh, I don't put much stock in lyrics taken out of context. DTRH has some pretty wacky lyrics and it's one of my favorite songs!
And I imagine if Adam had tweeted "soaked to the bone, sink like a stone, walk home alone" last album, I would have cringed! I know Adam didn't write them but it sounds corny without context.

I remember when Adam twitter all the lyrics for VooDoo over twitter. He typed a couple of lines wrong and confused everybody with the wrong lyrics. Adam had to re-tweet the correct lyrics. It was so cute & funny.

I've learned a lot (maybe more than I want) from the urban dictionary, but the "old" definitions are worth a look... I agree with this! I think the "ether" here is related to the space-y definition, with maybe a nod to ether used as a drug. A play on the idea of being high, etc. Hmmm, I wonder if this could be MY song?!?!?!? @noangelpf NoAngel @adamlambert A tripped-out Burning Man psychedelic vision with mad beats & pulsing drums!
@adamlambert Adam Lambert @noangelpf you can count on that!
