I totally get what you're saying phronni7 . For me too, Adam is the most sexy when he doesn't try too hard. Less is definitely more for me in terms of drawing me in. However, I understand that there are different artistic interpretations for a song like GDML. Hetero male point of view here GDML is not about being sexy. It is about (rough) SEX. It has a background projection of naked ladies in windows (very Amsterdam Red Light District IMHO), and just listen to those lyrics! The song literally calls for a certain acting interpretation. So when he sings that song without "getting down", I am totally disappointed and feel like he is half-assing the performance. YMMV. Yup! Hetero female here and GDML to me really feels like sex, no subtlety there. “I give you meat”. Yeah, that’s the kind even I as a vegetarian gladly welcome. Also: definitely Red Light District. I walk there every day on my way to work and I could probably show you the house that inspired the background. And if all of that isn’t enough: what do you imagine the white stuff dripping down the video wall actually is? Lol. It doesn’t get more explicit than this song and I am happy Adam is really going for it on stage. This is a little edit I made when I found out they had included GDML in the set.

There seemed to some confusion over what she meant so maybe that's why she deleted. Who knows; she tends to tweet & delete a lot. Releasing singles every couple months to keep an artist fresh in the listener's minds versus waiting months even years to release an entire album all at once has become industry standard for a while now. So yeah, "eras" with a distinct start and finish are a thing of the past.Yup. It makes total sense to me, and I think it was discussed here before also. I just thought it would be re-assuring for everybody to know that Adam's publicist pretty much sees it that way too. All good for me. Can't wait for the next new song!! It's true that the era of the physical CD is just about over. Streaming and downloading are how people get their music. So it makes perfect sense to put out single songs every now and then to keep fans in touch with their artists. I think singers will still put together "albums" that have a cohesive theme or a variety of styles and tempos, but listeners don't have to buy a disc to get all of it. I hope Adam and his label work out a good schedule for releasing his singles and his album. Exposure at the optimum time is so critical. It sure would be great to get a little MORE ADAM A LITTLE MORE OFTEN, than to get a LOT OF ADAM ALL AT ONCE EVERY COUPLE OF YEARS. Buy hey, whatever works is fine with me!

I’d think it is a very strong possibility that they know one another already. They have quite a few friends in common. Also, this tweet is from 2009. Oh...duh. But thanks! I wouldn't be surprised if they do know each other, at least casually. I really enjoyed watching Adam Rippon on the Olympics. And his banter is so funny and clever. I think he and Adam would get along very well. Adam R. is not afraid to speak his mind, either. He was on Colbert the other night and was a lot of fun. Great ot see his tweet about Adam!

It would take a LOT for Adam be too sexy for me. I love the overt sexuality he portrays some of his songs. And I love the floor crawl in GDML. He's sexy just sitting in a chair, too, but onstage I love him in all his erotic glory. (Of course, not ALL his songs are meant to be sung like GDML. I get it. But I want the sexy ones to be SEXY!)

He reminds me so much of "our" Adam and I thought immediately that they would get a kick out of each other. Cool if they already know each other. I will check out that Colbert interview tonight.

"However, I get it that Adam is just honoring the lyrics of the song". He is good at that. The "prude" in me just has to learn to "handle" it Definitely a different kind of "love" as compared to "Love Kills".

Just gotta add a bit since I just read a comment here about artists who are with a major label still make albums. I think that is true. They do make cohesive albums of songs. But as we've all discussed here, the songs are beginning to be released differently now. They are released far ahead of the whole album and they are used as mini-teasers. And once again, I'll just say that I hope Adam and his label have a great strategy, whatever it is.
