Are Lady Gaga and Ralph Macchio twins?By David Eckstein August 29, 2011 7:16 PM ET  Lady Gaga's alter ego, Jo Calderone, appears to have a fan in "Karate Kid" Ralph Macchio, but not for the reason you might think. The actor took to Twitter Monday (Aug. 29) to post his own version of "Twins Separated at Birth" -- he, in his look from the 1983 film "The Outsiders" look and Gaga/Calderone from Sunday's VMAs. The similarities are eerie. But this go us thinking, who else does Jo Calderone look like? Here's our list. "Jo Calderone" looks as much like Adam as Adam looks like Hulk Hogan. No resemblance whatsoever. This feels like a vaguely homophobic comparison. All cross dressers look like all gay people? It just makes no sense.

FYI -- I finally received an email from Adam Lambert fans about membership renewal. For those who haven't received a renewal email, here is what the email said (it also contains a note to those who did not yet receive a charity:water picture):
"Hello Glamberts!
We know this statement has been a long time coming and we appreciate your patience! As you probably know, Adam has parted ways with 19 Entertainment. Because of this time of transition, we have not been able to solidify the new fan club renewal packages. We are working diligently to get this ironed out, but in the meantime, the following will hopefully clear up any questions you may have about renewing your Adam Lambert Fan Club membership.
Some questions from members:
· I already ordered the Glitter membership because I didn’t want the same items I received last year. Can it be changed?
Yes, you will be able to upgrade to Glam! We know some of you have chosen to purchase the Glitter membership because you weren’t comfortable purchasing Glam sight unseen (or thought it was the same as last year). And that’s okay! Once we get the Glam package contents confirmed, we will offer an upgrade package should you decide you like the Glam merchandise.
· Can international fans get the Glam membership without having the package shipped to them due to the shipping and import charges?
If you are an international fan and do not wish to receive package merchandise due to shipping and import costs, please purchase the Glitter membership.
· Why was my renewal email for the “Lifetime Subscription Ticket Chance + Free Calendar!” subscription?
That was a glitch in our system. Please disregard.
· Will there be any advantages to having the Glam membership versus the Glitter other than the merchandise?
Simply put, the Glitter membership is the same as the Glam without the merchandise.
· Do you miss out on any emails or advance notice about ticket sales or other offers if you choose the Glitter rather than the Glam membership?
No way! All members get equal amounts of love!
· If my membership was extended using the VIP laminate, will I still get the items?
Extensions received via the Glitz VIP are for the digital membership only. If you wish to receive the Glam merchandise, you can purchase the Upgrade when it becomes available.
· I donated to Charity: water and haven’t received my signed photo!
Unfortunately, there is nothing that we can do at the moment. Although this wasn’t run through ground(ctrl), we’re going to attempt to make it all right once this transition period is over and we get back into the full swing of things!"
Thanks again for your patience! Adam Lambert fans are a special group and we look forward to announcing the new fan club renewal packages in the weeks to come.
Bottom line is Adam's change in management seems to have delayed some of the fan club activities. So hopefully they will get things ironed out in the next month or so.

Could RCA be holding Adam's album to a week to get a #1 opening? Had he released FYE any other day than black Monday he would have opened at #1. I have been continually surprised at the articles that state "FYE #3 opening". TFM was released Oct. 20th (Really the 19th Happy B-day to me). Even the hard core fan base was confused by which single to support by the time the album was released. Do we know of any releases scheduled for Thanksgiving week? When is Scotty releasing? RCA/Sony -- only cares about profits and total revenue, not chart placement. We do not know any of the major label releases after 11/8/11. Scotty October 4, 2011, Lauren October 11, 2011 and Kelly Clarkson October 25, 2011. Adam would not have been #1 if he released many other weeks in 2009. Carrie Underwood sold 318,000 first week of November 2009. Andrea Bocelli's "My Christmas" sold more that FYE the first, second and third week's of November. (It outsold FYE in it's third week in release.) Daughtry's second album sold 269,000 copies in July 2009. And if Billboard had combined Lady Gaga's two releases for the week of 11/23/11 -- Adam would have been #4 that week. FYE would have been #1 in some weeks but far from any other week. Finally, a #3 album chart placement is considered a big accomplishment. I think that is why it is often mentioned in articles. |
