Thanks, EmoElvis... I love the pics of Terrance from Glam Nation. He is so beautiful and so damn sexy. Pretty much every one of them is gorgeous. For some reason, I find his and Sasha's mesmerizing all the time.

Thanks for posting those links. One of the peripheral things to Adam that warms my heart is seeing the relative success of his dancers and band members. Most of the glamily were unknowns before they became a part of Adam's group. Being a part of Adam's band/dancers have helped them to live a dream as artists. Their families must be so proud. I will stop spaming and go back to lurking, but.... I grew up in the south on a farm. My family was poorer than poor monetarily, but we were somewhat Waltonesque. My brothers and sisters dreamed a lot of dreams living on that farm. We talked and dreamed under a starlit sky as we pondered the constellations. We grew up during a time of racial unrest and segregation. We dreamed with no real expectations that dreams would ever come true. Whether it was music, science, mathematics, politics, etc., we followed a dream not based on whether it was possible, but based on a compass north that we followed because it was in our hearts. I so love seeing Adam's band and any other artist follow the beacon and the light that has been emblazoned on their hearts. Lifetsytles is not about sexual preferences. It is about choices on how one wants to live.

Noticed a comment a few pages back about wondering why Jake Shears gets more support from the gay community (OK, we know it's not a monolithic, homogeneous group, but I am using the phrase as shorthand for the moment.) than Adam does. A few days ago in a conversation with my husband we touched on this subject. He wondered if perhaps the Scissor Sisters got more approval because they came up through gay clubs, were discovered by and given early support by the gay community in a way. Adam appeared to many to be "discovered" by a hokey TV show with his early support from straight women and girls. Didn't feel as if he was "theirs." - Just a thought-

Hi everyone! I have never posted on a blog before...aarrghhh! Lurker, lurker...used to follow PF until it went poof. This may sound corny, but I loved lurking. Even though I wasn't actively engaged in the discussion, I felt a part of a community of caring, witty, knowledgeable and positive individuals. I only recently discovered you had moved to ATOP..thank you, Q3!!!! I actually got a bit emotional when I saw usernames I recognized. Why I decided to delurk today, I honestly don't know. Since this is all things Adam, ..'no more hiding' for me. How much I will post, dunno, but I am out of the lurker zone now. BIG step for me. I have learned so much from all of you. I appreciate quick-witted humor and hope to be a positive addition to this forum. I DID IT!! Whew..

Guess I will be unpopular with you. I still have a problem with not being able to understand most of what she sings. Allison seems very sweet and a great friend to all of them. For me, I just do not enjoy listening to her. I really liked her on Idol. Is it the songs she sings, now? Well, she has that Bonnie Rait, Janis Joplin rasp to her voice that some love. Her diction pretty much sucks, tis true. And that song did no favors for her. Her range is limited and the bottom notes were tentative and weak, while the high wail was just kinda painful. In order to sound her best, she has to pay close attention to the songs she chooses for style (can't sing other than the rasp, really) and range to make the most out of her delivery. As opposed to Adam who has crazy range and sounds good all up and down it. He also can change up the tone of his voice to match any number of styles and genres. Just an all round more versatile, capable singer. Hope Allison can find the right niche.[/quote] ------------- (I can't seem to quote.) Cassie, does Allison hold her microphone too close and does this distort her sound? I loved her on Idol but the GNT shows I went to and in this clip, I can't understand her.

OMG so many AMAZING posts today!!!! Thank you, Midwifespal, for leading the way into the deep end today-- you rock!!!!
That Out Mag interview is incredibly poignant to me. What a freaky place he was in back then. So much unknown... I'm beyond amazed that he put himself out there so openly. This part just makes my heart go out to him:
It's all any of us can do, isn't it? Do the best we can, and assume that others are doing the same. And to have compassion for each other, 'cause it does get scary sometimes.
