Agree with everything you said. Adam loves Pop! He's said it enough times, don't know why people are trying to "figure" it all out. LOL! I do disagree though with your last sentence. I don't think anyone talking about opera or musical theatre is trying to change him. I think they are just dreaming out loud, having a fanatasy.
Moria, you should post more often!

This Burning Man live stream is kind of addictive, especially at night. Did anyone see it last night? The lights!! I've decided I could never go though, for 2 reasons. 1) I absolutely hate roughing it. ;D 2) The desert dust would kill me! www.ustream.tv/burningman

(LOL I wanted to write more but unfortunately I can't express my feelings the way I want to in English) haha. I know exactly what you mean. It' s like having a 25 ingredients recipe in my mind and only 5 ingredients on the table in front of me. If we ever meet, the two of us, I expect an at least three hours long non stop conversation. Plus all these rot/burn, fish, major talks (although I enjoy them a lot (thank you everybody) and I learn things) make me nervous: am I writing what I am actually thinking or will I be misunderstood?

I consider communing with nature having my window open and hearing the birds sing. (some of that may be due to the fact that I get anaphylaxis from stinging insects and sand fleas make me look like I have leprosy, but that's OTT and TMI) Babs12, I'm just so glad we had some opportunities to enjoy Adam together. The only thing better than Adam live is sharing his performance with the equally obsessed!

Well my dream is even more "out there" than the Opera/Musical Theater dreams! I want an album with every song a totally different genre. I think it would be spectacular as a "Holiday" album (Not Christmas, but winter themed that could include some Xmas, something Jewish, maybe something Asian or Middle Eastern). The main point would be that EVERY track would be a different style. Something "great American songbook", something Classical (opera, an aria from an Oratorio, how about "Panis Angelicus" (Franck)?), something Jazz, something Blues, something Pop and something Rock and so on. (maybe even something Country ) Part of the reason I want it to be a "Holiday" album is both because those have a totally different sales/promotion setup so doing something totally off the wall is less risky and I think reviewers would be more open minded about it. I actually think it could be done somewhat on the cheap since they would not need to be original songs (unless he has written a Solstice song or something!) and could have minimal accompaniment or production.

Juniemoon, It was a pleasure to read your essay this morning. You have a great grasp on the history of music and how to use that knowledge to illuminate what is going on today and also probe various themes that impact Adam and his journey. I hope you keep writing. Thank you.

So, if Adam and Sauli are going to Bruning Man, do we think they will be driving up, with friends, in an RV? Or will they be flying to Reno and meeting friends who are already there? Or, driving up in the Mustang to meet friends or are they packing a tent and supplies in the car and going alone?

Figure out why I'm obsessed with Adam? Good lord that could take days if not weeks.
Is it his voice? I'm more a fan of female voices and actually perfer male voices to be gritty and raw. However, Come to Me Bend to Me never fails to give me goosebumps.
Is it his looks? I like my men a little less pretty but Adam is gorgeous both with and without make-up. and that smile and those eyes are captivating
Is it his humor? He does have a raunchy sense of humor so that's a plus
Is it his charm? The one time I met him he certainly was a charmer
Is it his intelligence? When he speaks all I can think is "say more words Adam" because I love to listen to him talk probably as much as I love to listen to him sing.
Is it his loyalty to his friends and family? Yeah, that's pretty powerful, nothing is as attractive as someone who is loyal and generous to those around them.
Is it his fashion sense? Man, I love to see what he's going to wear next. That is half the fun of stanning him because you just never know.
Is it his charitible heart? I admire and respect anyone who gives of their time, money and energy to help others.
Is it his honesty? I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone in the public eye as open and forthcoming as Adam is. He hides nothing, is ashamed of nothing and that's pretty damn amazing when public perception can make or break his career.
In looking at my list of what it could be, what I've concluded is it's not any one thing that makes me obsessed with Adam, it's all those things combined which make an extraordinary human being and someone who is worth investing my time and energy into following because I find him fascinating and my fascination is rewarded with loads of entertainment. He never bores me or disappoints me that's for sure.
