ladyoz, ladybugs, JanuarySnowThanks guys, happy to be able to help peeps like you Sauli's shout out was a nice surprise . JanuarySnow - glad the meatballs were a success LOL. Our sour cream is a bit different to yours, so it's wise to use yours only the amount that goes well with the meat . Maria explained the diffrence in this thread, some page or pages earlier.

I was wondering if Sauli's Hollywood blog for Ilta-Sanomat is only for their online site or if it is also published in their actual newspaper. Sorry if this has already been discussed or answered before...

I just made those Sauli's carrot cutlets or "Porkkanapihvit". They are to die for!! Yummy! Easy and fast to make too - always a big bonus from my POV LOL. I used half a kg of carrots, cooking cream instead of milk (didn't have milk...), and for spices just touch of salt, black pepper and thyme.

Thanks, Mia! Siippa sounds like the perfect word for Sauli to use I've never used a slow cooker, but you're right-- it is an electical appliance, and you put the food into it uncooked, and then it cooks safely unattended at a low temperature all day. Never used a slow cooker??!!!!!!!!!

Thank you ladies for the new Tutka translation! Really enjoyed it - also found your anecdotes/notes/links (in blue) very interesting. We're getting a real education! (on a sidenote: I made Sauli's meatballs and overcooked them - Haha! - they came out like little rocks!! Tasty little rocks though! )

Translating the tutka videos must be especially challenging. thank you for doing this and also including video links, etc. I watched "Frontside Ollie" what a cute kid. i was amazed at the number of views for the video (also that dislike and like were about 50-50) Is he a well known pop sensation in finland like bieber?
Also the point in Tutka where we think adam giggles, Katri has just discussed at length some episode regarding black humor and Sauli makes a cute little face, almost like an eyeroll when adam laughs. what are they talking about here? Do you think Adam understands more of the language now or do you think he was amused by Sauli's adorable reaction?
once again, thanks ever so much for what you do for us!

We tried to explain LOL since the translation wouldn't have worked without that. Oh my, next time - a shorter time in oven :D for the meatballs!
