@udiscovermusic: .@queenwillrock entered the UK singles chart on 13 May, 1989 with 'I Want It All’ written by Brian May, but who was it inspired by? udiscovermusic.kal.ink/8a777501-ea95-46d1-8261-fa4525291beb.htmlPartial quote: ‘I Want It All’ was written by Brian May and inspired by something his future second wife, actress Anita Dobson, would say. “The actual title was a favourite phrase of Anita’s, a very ambitious girl.” said May. “’I want it all, and I want it now.’ “We were never able to perform this song live. It would have become something of the staple core of the Queen show, I’m sure, very participatory. It was designed for the audience to sing along to, very anthemic.” So Queen was never able to perform IWIA live? Wow. I never realized that. That song is now an exquisite showpiece for QAL. That incredible "Call and Response" that Adam and Brian do just before they kick into the song like a stick of dynamite is a perfect combination. It really packs a punch. It's one of the highlights of the show, IMO. Performing that song live is just one more example of how Adam's voice and presence with Queen is so amazing. No other singer could deliver that song like Adam can. His voice is no powerful and it delivers the message of the song so perfectly. Some things were just meant to be. IN the golf shirt interview, Adam was asked who could stand in for him with Queen were he to suddenly get sick. After some thought he suggested Lady Gaga and Pink. But, he couldn't name a single male singer. I can't either. Not performance wise, not charisma wise, and absolutely not vocally.

@patthi...we have similar thoughts lol...I thought to myself if ketchup is something Adam would eat...it isn't dairy/meat but certainly not healthy either...then on the other hand so are energy drinks and he drinks those...who knows...but I have my doubts too

Cassie, I thought the same thing about that question! Couldn’t think of one male singer. I can’t either!

No other singer could deliver that song like Adam can. His voice is no powerful and it delivers the message of the song so perfectly. Some things were just meant to be. There is a long list of Queen songs they never performed live by Queen (with Freddie) -- some because they were released after the band stopped performing live, others because they were early Queen songs and not appropriate for live performances. Here is a list that I threw together quickly -- so I could have missed some. Footnotes are based on Queenzone posts. The bolded song are the ones I really want to hear live. X = performed my QAL = not many. Maybe because they thought it wouldn't work. * Sleeping on the Sidewalk and Las Palabras de Amor were played only once, so they're not on the list. **Spike played keyboard solos of the Machines. I don't count it. **** Of greater interest to me are the unreleased Queen-Bowie songs from the Under Pressure recording session. Brian has confirmed there was more. www.theguardian.com/music/2017/jul/13/david-bowie-recorded-songs-with-queen-that-never-got-releasedEven it the recording session recordings are too "raw" to release, I wonder if QAL could do something with the songs?

I didn't realize that Sam was out from the start of his career, according to this article.. Sam was out in high school -- and long before he was signed to a recording contract.
