On another kinda OT but not really note...I just got home and in the car was listening to my Sisius XM radio and they must have been playing some Labor Day or end of summer countdown and they were playing Avril's new song 'Smile' and the DJ announced that Avril will soon be appearing in a show called Majors and Minors with other stars like Jordin Sparks and.... ADAM LEVINE. I lol'd so hard. Yeeeeah unless I didn't get the memo, it's LAMBERT who is gonna be in the show. A+++ job of fact checking their radio staff. LOL. I wonder if those two won't continue to be mized up for one another in the future?

Haha. As much as I love Soaked I have always cringed when I hear these lyrics. Really bad. Adam's lyrics (DTRH especially) are imaginative for the most part. He's quite good imo.
Funny - I feel exactly the opposite. I really like her (hard for me to use "love" for anyone but Adam) & think she has a great voice but I do not like her new song at all. So it will be a hit of course.

OT. I remember earlier, around the time that OoL debuted, either on this blog or another, where we were talking about cliched/bad lyrics in songs and compared and contrasted them with some of the songs that Adam has written, and saying that he was not as good of a songwriter etc.. And was just listening to radio, and Moves like Jagger came on, dont' know if it's just me but that song seems to be littered with cliche lyrics, and even though I love Adele's Someone Like You, it has it's share of a few cliched lyrics in there too, I think part of the reason that makes us forget the cliche, or wash over them, is because of how they are sung, or the melody or something. I don't think I've heard too many songs that do not have cliched lyrics. Just hearing what the writer rhymes makes me LOL sometimes. Well there are, but I don't think we'll hear them on US Top 40. At least from what I hear from all of you. Since it's a slow day, I'm listening to old songs that I love, and this one back from 2006 came to my mind. Love the lyrics. Sometimes I don't need a perfect voice, I need strong emotions and he certainly makes me FEEL. I don't even know if Blue October are super famous in the US, I just love them.

Weird, since we live in same timezone. You owl; me lark. That's hilarious though. Adam in those leggings, boots and jacket in the Japanese promo. Only Adam ...

Speaking of lyrics ... one of my favorites was when Springsteen rhymed "ass was draggin'" with "gypsy wagon." ETA: seoulmate, the blues YEAH.

OTT but I'll think of a way to tie it in:
Sugarland is playing The Allentown Fair tonight and Danny Gokey is mentioned (by Moser) in the article - but not opening for them. No, he is performing at 6pm in a small bar adjacent to the fair. I thought Gokey was doing pretty well? I know this place and it is just a bar. I'm surprised.
The tie-in - I would love to see Adam perform in the Main Gate (said bar) but I DO NOT WANT HIM TO EVER DO THAT. Has to be a comedown.

Reihmer - help me put off housework just a little longer. Do you have any pictures from the outdoor concert last summer when he wore the white shirt? Here are a couple I had saved. The top is one of my all-time favorite pictures of Adam. This shirt also made an appearance in the IIHY video -- go to the 2:22 mark. Just want to add that I love how this entire video is like an homage to wardrobe recycling. Some of the items Adam wears are the jacket from the Galliano suit that he wore to the Equality awards (with some added gold braid on the collar), one of the jackets from The Blondes and the AI Tour!Jacket (without the tails). I'm sure Gelly and other wardrobe ninjas here can identify some of the other pieces. Gotta love how he mixes and matches and comes up with different looks. (Wish I could hire him to help me do the same with my stuff!)
