I wasn't crazy about Kelly's first single either, the first time I heard it. But then I listened to it a few more times (probably 3-4 in total) and now I can't get that chorus out of my head. I mean I wake up singing the darn thing! : So, I figure it will be a hit. I love Kelly and want her singles and album to do well.

My radio station in Toronto is already spinning Kelly's single. I hope that Adam gets the same response as well, however I do think that your name gets you spins sometimes. I can't stand her new single and the title of it is the cheesiest thing ever. YMMV, etc. etc. I love Kelly but I am not really into her new song. I mean it's decent, reasonably catchy but overall it's just aight for me dawg. I guess since she was gone for so long I was hoping she would come back with some, oh I dunno, more bombastic, in your face, more WOAH kind of song. But then again she is apparently going in a new direction this album and I am sure she will have songs on it that will be mah jams...so I ain't mad. Even tho imo she could have come back "stronger" (hahah bad pun intended) I will def hum along if I hear it and I really want her to do well. However I don't like the fact the song was written by the same team responsible for Scotty's I Love You This Big cheese-a-palooza. WTF Kel? Or maybe I'm misinformed...I did find that info via Twitter so who knows. That's one reason I am super glad that Adam seems to have kinda strayed far away from the regular Idol stable of writers...save for a few ole regulars like Ryan Tedder and Co. Hopefully working with these new ppl produces material that is unlike most Idol stuff.....and hey, if his #2 does rlly well and has some big hits then he will probably be fortunate to join Carrie and Kelly and Daughtry among the small club of Idol alums to get play/adds on name alone.... LOOL! "I Love You This Big," now THAT is the cheesiest title of all time. Ugh!! I don't care if it was "Rolling in the Deep," with a title like that, I cannot even deal – especially for a young, cheesy country singer. I thought "Hold It Against Me" VERY cheesy (more the lyric, the title out of context isn't as bad), but since I am now on Team #BonnieMcKeePleaseHaveWrittenHitsforAdam, I've had to reconcile that opinion.

OT but since we were talking about it yesterday, Kelly's new song jumped onto the HAC chart this week with 200 spins and currently sits at #48. It doesn't go officially for adds on Top 40 until 9/13 and on HAC 9/12 so that looks pretty promising IMO. I hope Adam's single gets the same reception from radio. I am loving her reception and thinking about Adam as I see her spins climb. Hope he gets the same reception. The song is an earworm for me. The chorus, of "You don't know a thing about me..." just sticks in my head! I think it will do well. I wasn't sure about it the first time I heard it but on subsequent listens I'm liking it much more. (it reminds me of Bey's "best thing I never had" in some ways).

The piano is so pretty and actually kinda reminds me of like, early 90's PM Dawn or something lol.

OK, there are TONS of songs I'd like to hear Adam sing if we were to totally ignore his interests! I really want to hear him sing a classical aria - preferably Oratorio since I prefer that to Opera - but I would take nearly anything. How about "Sound an Alarm" from Handel's Judas Maccabeus (has the advantage of being more Jewish than Christian!) Or "If with All Your Hearts" from Mendelson's Elijah? For those not familiar with Oratorios (think long works with choir & soloist - best known 1 is Messiah), each of these recordings starts with a recititive (the singer is advancing the "story" by singing something similar to narration) and then moves directly into the aria. Warning - If with All Your Hearts is an ear worm

What is the consensus here, are they in Burning Man or not? Together? Or just going there for the weekend? Or what?
