What did it for me was when "We are Never Ever Getting Back Together" was nominated for Grammy Record of the Year. I'm not a Taylor Swift fan but there are other songs of hers that I can tolerate. But a song that has the word "ever" sung 3-4 times in succession? The song sounds so juvenile. These huge pop stars can release anything, radio will play the songs, they will become big hits, and get Grammy nominations.Exactly! That is why it makes me crazy when someone says Adam will get more play on US radio and nominations if he writes that undeniable big hit. Really? Do people think all of these songs that get massive play and become big hits are because they are so great and so well written? Some maybe but not all. His work is just as good or better than some and they would be hits if they got the same massive radio play. But the Grammy's go to pretty much the same acts. The non-favorites who have a chance are the ones who go into the alt or rock categories and get out of the way of the standard and predictable pop and rap darlings. So not surprised that Queen was a no show. Perhaps if they had given them the honor on the actual Grammy Awards show, the they way the EMA did, it would have been different story and seemed more like an honor.. Look when ppl say Adam needs to release that undeniable hit. Not suggesting none of Adams music is good. ITs just his best matarial were never released. Like Sleepwalker, Runnin, Cuckoo etc. End of day its not about popularity, or format. Mostly the music. Its true Artists like Taylor Swift. Well always have that leverage. Pop Music is a young persons game. Most Radio Execs looking for that younger audience. Of course their are ton of older artists who have had huge Radio hits. And once again that comes down to thee quality of their music. The song was so good it went viral. Made various Spotify Playlists. Radio than have very designed playlists. And look at GT. It was a top 20 Us Pop hit. IT got radio play. Adams is also kinda homeless on radio. In terms of format. So I Don't think it is neccessarily the quality of his music. But Radio Genre. I think Adams best genre is pop/rock. So well see what A4 brings.

Habe to agree with 3ku1 that when people say Adam has to have that one hit it's not about quality of the music but just getting into that/a certain sphere of the biz... Do we have this? I was positively stunned. What do others think? youtu.be/_rTdrBzOmWA

But US radio makes the hits by playing the song until you are sick of it. Good or bad but it is great exposure. Good streaming would be good as well. It may not be that way in other countries but that is the way it is here. Adam could have released some of the songs we like better but my guess is they would not have been played any more than the others were. And reaching top 20 in the US is good but it does not make it a big hit. His songs have done pretty well but I was talking about the kind of hits that go high on the US charts and get you nominations and award show performances in his home country. Adam said himself at one time that he did not get a lot of love on US radio, so I don't get why others think he gets enough. But in any event, I am going to continue to wish that A4 will give him that. Not really asking anyone else to want it for him, lol.

The juxtaposition of on-stage Adam and at-home Adam is something to behold.
