That's why the anticipation of new music is my favorite part...once the new music is out, and people listen to it for 5 minutes, it's "what's next" It kind of reminds me of little kids at Christmas, tearing through the presents, not really paying attention to the actual present, just wanting more and more presents to tear into. At least that's how mine were. OT, why oh why do I keep waking up at 4:15? I'm a morning person, but this is ridiculous. Pretty soon I won't have to bother going to bed lol. Xmas presents,Such a good analogy LOL . As far as the 4:15 Am ,I feel your pain..Too bad we're not in the same time zone we could chat

OTT, but heart warming story of a small, but big, kindness! 'Just beautiful': This Rouses employee's kind gesture to autistic Baton Rouge teen goes viral @danrather: Often it's the deceptively small stories like this that remind us of our common humanity. How we treat others, especially those marginalized by society, will help determine the future of this nation. #empathy and #inclusion must be part of #WhatUnitesUs. www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/news/article_7461256c-9500-11e8-abf0-ef376d7575e7.html

Thanks so much for posting that.

ABTD:
flac: A is my fav, clear Adam and good balance of everything else, then B, C has too much”noise”...i.e.larger files sound better obviously... mp3: C became the fav as it sounded fuller, followed by B...
both on iPad with audio-technica headphones

Adam is very successful! You don't have to be like Mars or Beiber to be successful. You don't have to do arenas and stadiums to have a great career...A number one song across the world doesn't give a singer perpetual fame.. just see all the one hit folks, don't even hear of some of them any more.. Adam has two careers, most singers can't get one. If you truly want to know just how great Adam's career is ,go back and look at all he's accomplished.. Currently,Queen gives him a chance to do what he loves to do and that is to SING and to sing for massive audiences around the world. How wonderful is that! IMHO, He is a very smart man and he knows what he is doing in terms of his career and longevity.Staying in the music business whether a gigantic star or not seems to come with lots of grief . Just look at how many greats are gone today from drugs,etc...To stay healthy and hopeful in that atmosphere takes a lot.. I give Adam tremendous kudos for what he probably has to contend with, even from his fans who can never get enough. Here's to Adam for his guts courage and determination..Yes I want more solo music because I love him ,but if the cost is too high ,maybe I can wait a while.. Adam has excelled at being the front man for Queen. He's singing legendary music that suits his voice to a T! He's being exposed to an audience he never could have reached on his own. I am so thankful for QAL. I've seen them three times and enjoyed every moment of every concert! Wish it could have been more. New music will come and I'll be ready but I'm NOT ready to close the door on QAL. It has given us fans so much joy, so for anyone to say they've had enough, well don't go then. I'm going as often as I can afford and for as long as I'm able!

This is the second time I looked at the thread and saw many pages and got excited thinking something wonderful had happened....and then quickly remembered about the new combo threads. LOL
Dancy......I know almost nothing about audio....but I always try and listen on whatever device is the best and in my case it's my really good PC with good headphones and if there's a FLAC or WAV file available I prefer that. My Samsung Note 2 phone is 7 yrs old....I think it's time for an upgrade...and I use the earbuds that came with it. I only use my phone for occasions when I'm not on my PC. I generally listen to M4as on my phone and altho the sound isn't as "big" , Adam's vocals usually sound good in M4a. So, like you said there are many variables including devices, formats and source files in addition to personal preferences. And like Toramenor stated above...some songs need vocal focus and others need more orchestration/background to sound "best".

A day late---but life was busy. My response for Under Pressure is quoted in Friday's thread.
