This is the second time I looked at the thread and saw many pages and got excited thinking something wonderful had happened....and then quickly remembered about the new combo threads. LOL .... Lol, same here! I had a moment of “OMG! We have NEWS!” Moment and then realized it’s the weekend thread.... but it’s ok, I can’t complain given so much QAL activity this year! Dancy, TY again for creating all the recording mixes! Very interesting and educational!

Some fans will always be like that or write that kind of comments. It's just who they are. Adam was getting questions about next album while he was promoting FYE,TRS and TOH I think all artist with a big enough fanbase and Adam is lucky he has an international one, get the same question of when is their new music coming out. Had there been no QAL at all and Adam was busy doing other projects, like animated movies, tv series (like Glee) or some musicals in between writing his albums...he would still be getting the same comments from the same people. Only it would be like "why is he doing this or that project instead of releasing more new music". The difference would be that we will have much less chance to see Adam perform live. Because of QAL we get the chance to see Adam live every single year since 2014 around the globe. Not everyone can get to those one-off and festivals appearances like Adam did between 2011 (after GlamNationTour) and 2013 WeAreGlamily tour. People forget there was no QAL between FYE and TRS - Adam still took his time to do the album how he wanted it to be. It was 3 years between those albums. There was also the change of labels & management and lawsuits too. It is not only the music business logistics like changing management and label etc. I think these fans disregard what Adam is saying in interviews. He wants to release music of the quality he wants it to be. Rushing such things is "the kiss of death" to quote Adam. Every fan wants to hear new music from the artists they love Why is rushing the kiss of death? Adam's first album was very rushed, but it produced his greatest hit so far. I don't disregard what Adam is saying, I think he's telling the truth, but only part of it. It isn't just the creative process that's hindering things, it's also logistics, like you said. I'm sure Adam knows that taking too long in between albums is actually often the commercial "kiss of death". And it isn't like he isn't interested in commercial success. I mean, his songs are still the 3-minute radio friendly pop formula, meaning he wants them to go on radio. But fans can't know what nobody tells them. What we see is Adam committing to more and more Queen shows, and never finishing his own album that he's been working on for years now. So fans start asking themselves, if Adam hadn't spent so much time with Queen, perhaps he could have finished his album last year, and this year he would've been touring with his own music instead of Queen. Are we surprised fans would think that?

Adam has such a perfect gig with Queen. - Some of the most challenging and varied repertoire in pop and rock music.
A large catalogue of songs to choose from. A group that is known for being highly theatrical where he can play to his strengths. Founding members to whom money is no object when it comes to creating a set and presenting a show. A multi-generational audience around the world who clamor to see QAL. Personnel who have become close friends and all of whom enjoy each other and what they are doing. Brian and Roger allow and encourage input and creativity from Adam, and heap praise on him as their frontman. Sold out arena and stadium shows around the world. Being the center of attention on stage. Getting overwhelmingly positive reviews and write ups. Being recognized as the best voice in the business. Earning insane amounts of money for doing what he loves and following his passions.
Why wouldn't Adam continue to perform with Queen for as long as it is viable? Yes, we fans want him to create and release new music, be involved with new projects musical and non-musical. Adam surely has had many opportunities to do that. He is choosing to stay with Queen. I can't blame him. That adrenaline rush while onstage is reason enough. Nothing else in the world quite like it.

Because he's in a position to become a legend and be remembered after he's gone, but only if he has his own success. He'll be forgotten pretty quickly if all he does is fill in for Freddie. And I'm pretty sure he does have ambition and wants to leave something behind him.
