It's very misleading, though. I would think that any aspiring young dancer would assume they're going to be working with Adam. Why mention his name at all in the ad? Just say "need dancers for music video" or whatever it is. Bringing in Adam's name is sure to get some hopes up for a high-profile professional project when all it is (presumably) is a low-budget local gig. Or it could be just as simply so that the dancers know what type of music they are auditioning for so they know if it fits their repitoire. Yes sometimes people use Adam's name to generate interest but just remember sometimes a cigar is just a cigar and not some sleazy underhanded conspiracy. The person putting the ad up probably never thought twice about it. I just said it was misleading; I did not say it was a sleazy underhanded conspiracy. I'm only concerned that someone will get his or her hopes up that they're going to work with Adam and then be disappointed. I thought the ad could have been worded better to insure that that doesn't happen. |

There is an active fantasy "game" played out on twitter revolving around True Blood and takes place in NO. I tripped across it because they've used Adams name & even had a fake AFL concert that members attended. The things you learn on twitter!!! That was my first thought when I saw the dancer thing. Wish I bookmarked the fantasy role playing, it was fascinating.

I think Tom Cruise has been cast in the lead. Really? I'm not sure I want him in something with Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise as the lead in a rock based movie? That has train wreck written all over it. I can't stand Tom Cruise ! I'm not familiar with Rock of Ages. (other than the Constantine role on B'way) ..I know it's probably full of musical numbers, but is it a comedy or something like Grease, or more like Rocky Horror? Needacoke....do you follow Simon Curtis? Use your ninja skills and get us some info ! |

It's all about the hair bands of the 80s and it's campy and it's supposed to be campy! (More like Hairspray, than either Grease or Hair) I doubt Simon is talking about the lead. But Adam shouldn't be the lead in his first movie role. He doesn't need all that pressure. Let Tom get all the pressure and Adam get all the good reviews, like in Ten Commanments! |
