Dragging this to here from yesterday: From my own experience I can tell that being all alone in a different world for a year at that age is really something huge. I learned so much about myself, got to know my inner self. It was more than a school year abroad, it was a course of life to come with difficulties, problems, fun, happiness a touch of real life where you will have to sort out everything by yourself and have to trust yourself and your own instincts. I came home a lot more mature, stronger and confident of my own abilities and a lot clearer view about life in general. And that was only a high school year in the States :D, so nothing to really compare to Adam's experiences! (Time zone: ancient, before internet and mobile phones.) I felt the same from spending a year in another country at 20. there's a certain freedom you feel when cut off from all societal norms you grew up with. I remember how the world and it's possibilities seemed to grow and it felt magical. We actually had to write LETTERS to keep in touch with friends and family, except for a once a month 2 minute shouting match via bad phone connection. Traveling always made me feel bold and it was a struggle to hold on to that when back at home. I wonder why. I think of Adam coming home after doing Hair in Germany having reinvented himself and instead of reverting to old habits he went on being the new fabulous Adam and kept being bold. Like after his trip at Burning Man, where most people have all these crazy revelations while tripping but never actually try to follow through after the fact. The boy has heart and an almost childlike purity in his convictions that I have so much respect for. I, too, have been on my own since a young age. A very young age. I was a runaway at 16 yrs old. I just couldn’t take being in that house anymore. Was I spoiled? No! My mother was like a Nazi. At 8 yrs old I was changing diapers for my sister. And there was no such thing as Pampers yet. The soiled diapers had to be rinsed in the toilet before they could be washed. At 11yrs old I was cooking dinner. At 14 yrs old I was doing most of the cleaning and all of the grocery shopping. At 16 I did all this while having a part-time job (had to contribute most of my check to the household) and pulling A’s in my schoolwork. Once I got a C. World War III. How do I feel when I look back? I did the right thing! It was just odd that I was way beyond my years. At 17yrs old, my boyfriend was 23. At 19 yrs old my boyfriend was 27. I started college late (22 yrs old), paid for it myself, and went all the way through a Masters and a professional license in night school. The downside? I have no patience for people that don’t help themselves and it’s difficult for me to deal with people without common sense. The lighter side? Oh, the parties. I still love having company.

Well I'm excited about a possible role in a musical movie! And I guess I'm the only one here who likes Tom Cruise. Don't give a crap about his personal life, but the man can act. Wish I would have gone into the city to see it on Broadway so I could pick what role Adam should play. I never went because Constantine gives me the creeps. I wonder when he'll ever wash his hair.

I was at Foxwoods also. That was the first time I had ever felt that thing that goes on between an audience and an entertainer. My skin was sizzling the whole concert. The audience stood for the whole thing and screamed throughout. The more hyper the audience became the better Adam danced and sang. It was one of the best nights of my life. When I think about it, I still get goosebumps.

Actually, as much as I am creeped out by Tom Cruise...he might be perfect for the lead role of a campy aging rocker. I dunno if it's a singing part, but I think he could handle it if not much singing is involved. Singing tho, erm, no clue. Anyone see when he played that one character....oh God it escapes me now...but he came out at the VMA's or something in that character and he was actually really funny/good in that roll. If its anything in that vein he could be really good. I also don't think Adam has time on his plate for a movie, lol. I would think being srs on #2 would be waaay more important. A cameo would be lulzy tho. Agree. A cameo would be perfect. I heard on my radio station today that Cruise has started taking voice lessons for this role, and he's really into learning all the stuff from that era and blah, blah , blah. I dont think Tom Cruise would let anyone steal his thunder. It seems like here at Atop we dont like Cruise much, LOL.

Or it could be just as simply so that the dancers know what type of music they are auditioning for so they know if it fits their repitoire. Yes sometimes people use Adam's name to generate interest but just remember sometimes a cigar is just a cigar and not some sleazy underhanded conspiracy. The person putting the ad up probably never thought twice about it. I just said it was misleading; I did not say it was a sleazy underhanded conspiracy. I'm only concerned that someone will get his or her hopes up that they're going to work with Adam and then be disappointed. I thought the ad could have been worded better to insure that that doesn't happen. Sorry, not really referring to what you said specifically but just the tendency for fans in general to think there is some dastardly motive at work in stuff like this. Honestly dancing is a pretty cut throat world and I doubt seriously that anyone who would be actually looking at this job notice would see it as anything other than what it is. I really think this is being blown way out of proportion. There would be no reason for someone looking at cut rate ad like this in Louisiana to think it has anything to do with the actual Adam Lambert. I don't think there is anything misleading at all with respect to the actual target audience of the ad.

I have to say you're right about that. Magnolia and Collateral are my fav movies. He was perfect IMO. Now musical??IDK

Foxwood was one of my favorites for a bunch of reasons beside the vocals. The venue was beautiful, the stage was nice & big, not crowded and they had large video screens. First I had seen for him. He needs a big stage.
The audience did stand & cheer for him the entire time. It was awesome.
