"I'm doing the fucking best that I can." When I first read that quote I teared up. Adam at his most open and vulnerable. Adam acknowledging that it isn't all rainbows and puppy dogs. Adam acknowledging that it is a huge learning curve, despite his years of performing experience, when he becomes an overnight superstar. Adam asking, for I think about the only time I recall, for a little compassion, leeway and understanding. I still choke up when I read that. A quick snapshot of the weight he is dealing with. ILHSFM wanted to bring this over from yesterday Thanks for bringing this over. I love this quote of Adam's. When I saw this again, I was reminded of the picture with Miley Cyrus and the caption that she is "so fun". I have heard other quotes from him along the line of "we need to give people a break". I think he said this to Michael Slezak at the end of AI8 about Slezak's very tough criticism of some of the contestants. Adam sticks up for people. He knows he's doing his best and gives others the benefit of the doubt and assumes they are doing their best, also. I like that.

Yes, shev is a ninja... but so are you, gelly, and tantum has lots of ninja skills, too!! My first thought would be a music video for his first single from album#2. Wouldn't that timing be right? I'm just wondering if they already have some idea of what the first single might be. You think that's possible? Maybe it's normal to organize/hire all these people months ahead of time... Bottom line: I know nothing!! : ETA: we at least have to find out if this guy has a dog, and what the dog's name is. (gotta do NoAngel proud!!)

Yes, I know the feeling . Where are you from jamie and where did you go for that year? Grew up in Chicago suburb, was going to school in Colorado when I did a study abroad in Rome. I don't think I could have done what you did at seventeen. I always felt bad for the exchange students in my HS who ended up in my town because I thought it was so boring they got gipped. Hope you got a more exciting place in America. Well, it was an experience :D - went first to a small village called Altamont near Albany, NY and then to Albany. Same high school though. Had three totally different host families, a lot of fun and sometimes not so fun. For the two families it was the moms that became my best friends not their kids who were busy in their own teenage-lives. For the third family, I went to the most weird places with my host brother and he scared the hell out of me sometimes - but did it fondly :D. (Though I was used to that as I do have an older brother myself IRL.) School was pretty boring and sort of waste of time otherwise than an experience of different kind of a world. I was used to much more demanding way of school and learning so thought it was sort of too easy. But I was there to learn about life, and I did .
