I've actually never nocticed! ??? ;D I am not watching AI, I think I read someplace you are. Maybe it was regarding the contestant, James. Is this a redeeming season for Idol? Of did "Adam" indeed set the bar too high? I know you love Adam, but, what is the truth? I have been watching idol. IMO, no Adam so far, but they have some really good talent. This is not going to be like S9. |

Got in the car in Myrtle Beach at 6am, drove 11.5 hours to PA, dinner with family, little bit of Candyland with granddaughter, visited with everyone for few hours, watched (sucky)AI together, said I was tired, went into bedroom, locked the door, came on Adamtopia to see what was going on today. My daughter just knocked on the door and said, "I know what you're doing in there.."
I felt like a 13 yr old boy locked in the bathroom with a picture of Pamela Anderson.
I guess I really am that transparent about what my priorities are.... but geez, I gave them 5 hours of what would normally be my Adam time.

Hoping no one is tracking my website visits at work! : Be cautious about where you go and how long you do it at work. IT is watching. I know because its where I worked. They keep metrics and you do not want to end up on a Top Ten list. It might be better to get a smart phone to roam the web rather than do it on company computer. The smartphones have their llimitations, but it does keep your web life private. |

Well, I tried to give myself an avi, but I did something wrong. Saved the pic on photobucket, copied the url into the "modify profile" page, then clicked "modify profile." But it still hasn't shown up. I'm sorry to ask, because I know a ton of people have done so, but what am I doing wrong? Dying to use this freckle pic, not sure if someone else has it.

I know you love Adam, but, what is the truth? I am a true Idol Loon! I have watched since season 1, but have not voted in every season. Last season, I didn't vote at all. I preferred Crystal, but really wasn't invested in anyone. I voted heavily in Seasons 5, 7, and 8. There is no other show that gives these kids the chance to become recording artists, or actresses, or Broadway stars. Like Adam has said, the labels rarely do "development" anymore. Without Idol, we would not know about Adam Lambert. So, I will always love the show. Do I think Idol is redeeming itself this year? So far, yes. I love Steven and Jennifer. I knew Simon had "checked out" 2 years ago and I knew Kara was bad, but seeing Steven and Jennifer, this year, makes me realize how bad the judges had gotten. Steven and Jennifer are paying attention and giving good critiques. They know music and are actually making sense. They are even having fun! The contestants, this year, seem to be good singers (with about 3 exceptions.) I think the producers are sooooo scared of another WGWG that they made sure they put the singing front and center. Will there ever be another Adam Lambert. I doubt it. He's too extraordinary, in every way. All in all, I think it will be a fun and entertaining season. Whether I vote again, remains to be seen. I think I've already found my American Idol.  Thank you for your insight! Since I am one of the ones that only watched Idol because of Adam I have no way to truthfully critique the contestants. For me, I can not imagine another Adam, however, I do realize there are others who can sing. I actually forget who during season 8 told me to watch Idol, I think it was a male co-worker who he and his wife watch every year and he said there is a guy on there that is like no other. Anyway, fun to hear from someone who has followed all the seasons and uses Adam as their reference point. I do not work in the same area as this same co-worker so you are my new reference point. |
