Got in the car in Myrtle Beach at 6am, drove 11.5 hours to PA, dinner with family, little bit of Candyland with granddaughter, visited with everyone for few hours, watched (sucky)AI together, said I was tired, went into bedroom, locked the door, came on Adamtopia to see what was going on today. My daughter just knocked on the door and said, "I know what you're doing in there.." I felt like a 13 yr old boy locked in the bathroom with a picture of Pamela Anderson.I guess I really am that transparent about what my priorities are.... but geez, I gave them 5 hours of what would normally be my Adam time. Savvy- You are too funny. But I must admit I have felt the same way myself. If you need any help with your family, we have your back! I've told my daughter and s-i-l not to ever insist I make a choice between them and Adam. They and my 2 older grandchildren just laughed. My son would not find that statement amusing for one second.... Ha, ha. The 11.5 hours in car were spent with a friend who voted for Adam on AI, knows some stuff about him, now she knows a lot more. She has known me for 24 years so was asking questions about WHY the fascination with Adam. She knows I'm music freak, even made joke when she took HR job at HOB that it should have been me, AND it was her who got me front row loge seats for Adam's concert there. When I started to explain WHO he is and what is so impressive, she was really taken aback by the charities, the intellect, the humor, etc. I mean, she asked many, many questions, which was cool. She's not much for music, more work, golf, community activities, etc, so I don't know if it just shocks and puzzles her that I am so obsessed or if she is developing a real curiosity. Whatever, her husband voted many times for Adam on AI, so now she is prepared to further enlighten him on Adam's journey when she gets back home. It was pretty cool, so I gifted her an ACOUSTIC LIVE. I'm now down to 2, one red and one blue, so that's the end of my generosity.

BreakingNews Breaking News 2 volcanoes in Far East Russia island of Kamchatka spew ash, threaten air traffic - Voice of Russia Okay, volcano in Phillipines, earthquake in NZ. Earthquake activity in Japan. On our side, major quake in Chile. Seems there is a chain reaction going on in the Pacific Ring Of Fire. Next it will be something in California in the Bay area. This is flipping scary. IKR? It's kinda freaky! We're way overdue for a big one all up and down the west coast! :-/

I watched AI tonight too. I think there is a good pool of talent. Of course, there is no Adam equivalent. Most of them do too many runs and melismas for my taste. Somehow Adam does that type of embellishment with a whole other sensibility that makes my jaw drop. But many singers just are not that creative and it sounds overdone and busy (ala Xtina lately). I didn't cringe at the ones I heard tonight. But the one I thought was most interesting was the bearded blond guy with the quirky voice. He felt natural, sounds distinctive, and seems mature with Adam-like manners. I can't remember his name. Haha. I just Googled and found out I'm not the only one (MTV). He is Paul McDonald. Apparently he is trending on twitter after tonight's show. www.mtv.com/news/articles/1658580/american-idol-paul-mcdonald.jhtml

One last thing, to make justkaren happy, plus we all like an undistorted Adam. To get the ratio of the picture just right you need to go into your profile and change the avatar width to 89 and the avatar height to 100, then Adam will not be distorted at all. I love it that so many here are concerned with my happiness! ;D ;D ;D

It just seems that everywhere but the US adores Adam and he gets so many mag articles and spreads. RS, EW, People Mag, etc. shun Adam. When they do post they make fun of him. No fucking justice.
It seems that Bruno Mars is the golden child, despite the major drug bust.
Crazyforadam - thanx that was such a nice spread.
