Another point about Brian is that he is an environmentalist. That is not an easy job. Years ago, my husband and I were involved in saving a natural area near our home -- trying to get the neighbourhood motivated and fighting City Hall definitely took its toll on my health. I really don't know how environmentalists keep at it year after year. I have a lot of respect for them after my one little venture. I noticed on Brian's instagram that he was trying to get people in England to a rally and it got very few likes compared to his QAL posts. That must be discouraging and now he might be feeling daunted by having to get back into that activist mode. Also, for one who cares about the environment, Vegas must be an anathema. I try to keep a very small carbon footprint and my efforts seemed pretty futile when you think of the amount of power needed to keep Vegas running -- plus the water being used and the garbage being generated. I even felt badly being on an airplane burning up all that fuel and then I had to watch all those other planes coming and going. But that is the way the world operates right now and if I'm going to enjoy life, I have to suppress a lot of these thoughts. It is a contradiction in the brain and I wouldn't be surprised if Brian feels that too. I don't want to be too much of a Debbie Downer here. I did enjoy my time in Vegas -- it was stimulating and over the top -- I just had to wrestle with my conscience a bit while I was there. I second that whole heartedly!!!! I consider myself an environmentalist and it does get very frustrating and saddening. Especially now with what is going on at the Hambacher forest in Germany. metislight tell me when and where and we'll strut

Yes animaldoc, the Park Theater was Soooo much better than The Joint. Besides the physical and acoustical superiority of the Park Theater, the Park Theater was very cool with folks taking photos and videos as long as no flash was used (flashes disturb the performers and can be a safety issue). The Joint was very hard nosed and disruptive in trying to prevent folks from taking videos and in some cases photos. Also, the casino at the Park MGM was not near as smokey as at other LV casinos I have had to walk through. And the walk from my room through the casino to the theater was much shorter than at most of the other casino hotels. I would stay at the Park MGM again. I loved the Park MGM for location in the strip and the running tram. Throw in a dresser for clothes storage though. Is this minimalist style the way things go in hotels now?

bamafan What did you think of the big tree root in the Park? Did you read my recap? Mszue and I were techie challenged with those kiosks. We were busy trying to scan her passport on the instructions, when the busy attendant reached over and pointed out the scanner. Facepalm moment! lol LOL. I didn't understand the big tree root.....but kinda liked it! We had trouble with my Driver's License and the busy attendant used her pass key and over rode it and we got our keys printed. The upstairs hallways are so drab....dark and skanky I thought. Our room turned out to be OK...especially with the bright red subway tiled walk in shower. Liked the window shades. With that Stay Well room was all kinds of adjustable lighting and scents, and fan noise which I'm used to hearing everynight at home so that was nice and helped drown out the beat of IHeart directly across the street on Friday nite.

Wow I went over there just for a second to see what was being said and those folks are downright rude. I wonder if while they are tearing us apart for being Adam and QAL fans they realize that they are also including Roger and Brian in that distain that they feel towards fans Of Adam and his singing. I am a huge fan of Freddie but I can also love and appreciate both him and Adam as that are completely different artists. The little I read in that Queenzone forum makes feel embarrassed by some of my fellow Queen fans that that can be so closed minded. I assume they think the founding members of their beloved band are also and I quote ātone deaf idiotsā! I shouldnāt let it get to me but I feel like going over there a posting every interview with BM & RT with them heaping praise on Adam for his talent and how he has helped revitalize Queen but that would be a huge waste of my time. Everyone has right to their opinions but canāt we have different opinions without being rude and tearing each other down about it. Sorry rant over:) I prefer it here anyway.

About the Adam vs. Freddie debate... I think it helps to remind ourselves that opinions of any kind are not facts.
My opinion ... I am primarily an Adam fan but I do respect Freddie's legacy as an incredible musician. Moving forward regarding possible future concerts, I would really like it if Adam modified his "I am a fan too" speech a little. While I think it is important for Adam to acknowledge Freddie and stay humble, it always makes me cringe when he asks the audience how much they miss Freddie and when additionally he encourages them to applaud Freddie as the greatest ever.
