I have a hard time mustering any excitement for an Elvis tribute. I was barely alive when he died and never got the appeal and not a fan of the music. Watched about half a video of QAL HH in Vegas. But I’m happy he was invited to participate with a great group of peers. So whenever it airs I’ll check it out and I’m sure he will do a great job. I assume HH in Vegas was for practice. Me too. I don’t care for Elvis. He died before I was born. But I‘m glad for those, who are really looking forward to Adam singing Elvis. I like about it, that it gives Adam a chance to be seen and heard on American TV. Even if it’s again just with a cover. I hope, that will change with new music coming out. As for Adam’s hair and beard: He should be himself, not imitating anyone. Since I came in later as a fan, I „met“ Adam with facial hair and I always loved that look. Clean shaven like in Glee or the earlier years doesn’t do it for me. I just state that, because it sometimes sounds,as if the majority of the members of this forum prefer Adam clean shaven. Everybody has their own favourite look, of course, and Adam can (and will 😉) do, what he likes.

Some of us old gals think Elvis was hot stuff back in the day. But I understand the younger folks not being into him...he was before their time. Adam is an old soul and embraces music and influencers from long ago. Yep. Wasn't around when Elvis was a big deal but couldn't miss knowing, hearing and appreciating his huge impact. I really enjoyed that short lived show about Elvis, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis and Sun Records. But I also enjoyed seeing movies about Patsy Cline cause she was so different and more interesting than the Carrie Underwood's who are the country female stars today. She was like one of the hard living guys, lol. Not a country fan but I think I would have been a fan of hers. Also the tribute they had for Frank Sinatra. Wasn't around for him either but they had a lot of stars including Carrie and Nick Jonas and Levine doing that tribute. I'm just happy to see Adam included with other stars and it is televised. Pretty much what a lot of us have been hoping for. Adam's Bowie and George Michael tributes were so good but hardly anyone saw them because they were not televised. Still excited and looking forward to his new music tho.

We all want Adam on TV, etc singing his own tunes.....but he's so very good at covers and tributes. Was trying to remember the various tribute performances he's done.....I'm having a brain freeze....I know there's more than these. There's the Bowie medley during GNT and Let's Dance on TOH but that wasn't televised....and singing The Prayer for PM Rabin's Celebration of Life was just filmed in the audience.
The vocals here are so pure and gorgeous.

The George Michael Angel (?) tribute was so good and part of the Bowie tribute that he did at the Clive Davis (with the guy from Fun playing guitar) party looked really good. He was rocking that stage. Clive introduced him as one of the success stories from Idol. I wish we could have seen the entire performance. Both would have been great tv.
