I hope this will give more money to writers and singers and less to record companies.
Today, the president signed the Music Modernization Act into law with various celebrities, including Kid Rock, Mike Love and John Rich, present. The upcoming concert special celebrating the 15th anniversary of Wicked has added two more artists to its swankified roster. Newly announced to take part in the event, airing October 29 on NBC, are Adam Lambert and Ledisi, according to Billboard. The two join the Tony-winning original Wicked stars Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, as well as Wicked superfan Ariana Grande, Pentatonix, and the current cast of the long-running musical. A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway will be taped at the Marquis Theatre with a live audience. Marc Platt produces with Glenn Weiss (who also directs) and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment. Lambert rose to fame as the runner-up on American Idol in 2009, but prior to then, he appeared in the Los Angeles company of Wicked, understudying the role of Fiyero. R&B singer Ledisi is a 12-time Grammy nominee, most recently for her 2017 album Let Love Rule and singles “All the Way” and “High.”

The American Idol star, singer, and stage performer doesn't have a lot of tv and movie credits to his name, but he’ll soon add one more notch to his belt. It’s been announced that Lambert will be voicing a villain named Emperor Maximus in a new animated movie called Playmobil: The Movie. Lambert will be staring alongside Daniel Radcliffe, British actress Ana Taylor-Joy, comedian Jim Gaffigan, and fellow singer Meghan Trainor. The screenplay was also written by Blaise Hemingway and The Princess And The Frog’s Greg Erb. The film is the latest family film to be inspired by a children’s toy, this time a German toy brand, and to boast a cast of voices from diverse entertainment fields. While the movie is now officially filming, a synopsis of the film has yet to be released, so we only know of the toy brand concept. What we also know is that the film is set to premiere on August 16, 2019.

And a few other songs that I don’t remember ChasingTheOriginalHi @imjulianm6 Kinda hoping/guessing Adam does jailhouse rock..only cause it’s upbeat and everyone will be cheering and dancing n stuff ..so it’ll drown out me yelling “I love you adam!!” N stuff lol if it’s a slower songs the audience will be quiet & I’ll be shy/embarrassed to yell/fanboy haha |
