Well, actually, I think the fandom is doing pretty well progressing through the stages of grief over the album being pushed back. Most seem to have gotten to the bargaining, depression and acceptance stages pretty quickly!! All will be well in a day or two! Everyone processes at a different rate. I got over my divorce emotionally quite rapidly by focusing on those less fortunate in life. I would not admit this anywhere else but ATOP, but I tried that today and it didn’t work! I won’t tell my ex that it is much more difficult to get over Adam disappoints after knowing him for 2 1/2 years than getting over a 17 year marriage. Ha, Ha. Actually, maybe I will tell him. He already thinks I’ve lost my mind. Oh, I’ve been divorced for almost as long as most people hold a mortgage, so everything’s cool. |

ATTENTION SUSIEFIERCE, RABBITOPIA, and others... OT, but because I wasn't the only one worrying about this earlier, I thought I'd post to the general atopulation... I know there are are lot of twitter users here, in varying stages of anonymity...For those who worry that our embarrassing stan fan accounts are being recommended to people we know in RL based on info gleaned from our email and facebook and other places they spy on collect data on us, I found the solution. Twitter has recently started recommending our accounts to other followers (and recommending we follow others) based on private info, but if you BLOCK the account that provides this service, @twittersuggests, then they won't suggest you follow peeps you know any more and they won't suggest they follow you. Here's a link to the page that explains the creepy-ass innovative service:

It really sucks when you write a long, thoughtful post and you do something that makes it disappear. So I'll summarize: When I angst over Adam it makes me sick and mad and sad. Fuck that. HA, yes that does suck...but your summary is BRILLIANT! And I think Madonna's video is HILARIOUS! She owes no one an apology for loathing hydrangeas--she never insulted the fan who gave them to her, after all (at least IMO)--and this was a funny-as-hell way to comment on the big deal the press made of a comment that she did not intentionally broadcast. No different than Adam commenting on that ginormous kangaroo someone gave him on tour, IMO. Of course, he laughed at it a bit more gently, but he did sort of laugh at it! (And so did some fans, IIRC.) Madonna just went the elaborate and satirical route. |
