Jablea your post made me think that the queen collaboration must be like a kid in a candy store for Adam. In an early interview Adam was asked if he had unlimited budget how he would design his tour. Well, he's is somewhat in that position. Not only do Brian and Roger have the money but are willing to spend it. On top Adam doesn't have to pay for it himself but he GETS generous pay for it. The more i think about it...

Wicked’s score is very pop in style, especially Elphaba’s songs, I’m not surprised he’s singing it less than traditional. I remember the less than complimentary reviews of the score from the traditional broadway critics when it opened. It’s not Carousel, nor does it try to be. And 15 years later it still connects. Not being able to see the recording of the Wicked Halloween TV show at 4pm, 3 hours later I did the next best thing and went to see the actual play in the Gershwin Theater. And damn, does it connect! Of course, Ryan McCartan's voice cannot compare to Adam's, but I still had goosebumps during "As Long As You're Mine". I am forever grateful to whomever recorded Adam's performance... The new Elphaba Jessica Vosk was awesome.

Ledisi is not a professional musical theater performer so it’s possible Adam is trying to blend styles with her. He’s always a generous and thoughtful duet partner. And yes just maybe he wants to set himself apart from the other cast members. Wicked’s score is very pop in style, especially Elphaba’s songs, I’m not surprised he’s singing it less than traditional. Yeah exactly. Adam has a huge range to his voice. But makes sever ges employing a pop/rock style for this. And not theatre. Ironically that was his criticism way back on idol in 2009. From Kara “too theatrical” lol. Adam even said her constructive criticism was a big influence on him. Should be good though. And I am sure Adam we’ll nsil it. He seems to be getting a lot of opportunities on US primetime. Hopefully his LP is a big success. And see him performing on all the big award shows.

The more i think about it... I'm sure that it was Roger's idea for the Chaise Lounge or Brian's for a rideable Frank. :wink wink: Or a real tricycle with Champagne or flowers. Adam would probably prefer to have just one mic stand and plain silver colored mics, nothing extravagant darlin'. Did Paul Rogers even change outfits? I digress. We know the gold tour was an Adam suggestion, nobody blinked an eyelid when he showed up with red hair the next. I'm sure next solo round he'll put in scissor lifts, drop doors, wings with stairs, and multiple thrusts into his own stage design because that's budgetable. Save Me starts out without accompaniment in the original doesn't it? If he didn't change clothes so often they could do the songs in a different order. Oh, let's not forget the brassiness of coming out the first time in that crown. I like your candy store metaphor.

And it could be - I was told for years I had to sing it this exact way - and haha I don't have to do what anyone tells me anymore - I can do it my way.

I'm DYING to hear Adams new album and I remember him saying, that 2019 will (probably) be more of a solo year. So I'm a bit surprised/irritated about a "giant new tour"...it just raises a few ????? Alltogeher I'm not to worried too much. Even if they play the US and Europe again and have lets say 4-5 weeks each it would only be two month. After the absolute blast I had in Vegas, I think I won't be complaining about Q&A at the cost of Adam's solo career anymore. Sure, I too am dying to hear his solo stuff at some point, but it will happen. In the meantime, I am fine with waiting patiently.

Right now I'm actually really excited, that all this exposure with the elvis special, wicked, judging and the Playmobil movie will boost Adams next album. It would be dumb, if they didn't use that. Maybe by the next qal tour Adam will have a new single to bring to the set.
