I just don't get people being upset about another QAL tour. This is a big part of Adam's career, given him enormous exposure around the world and of course financially allowed him to be secure. It can only help his solo music and we'll get it when it's ready! QAL is such a fantastic production and Adam deserves that which he wouldn't have in his solo music. Also he would not be doing arena's either. Why would you want to take that away from Adam. This is where he deserves to be.

The truth is - as an outsider here - sometimes it's good to hear from that perspective. I think Adam is going to ride the QAL train for as long as he can because it gives him the biggest amount of success both financially and visibly out of anything he does. You may not want to hear it but outside the Adam fanatics - he doesn't have a *ton* of solo success. He has enough of a fanbase to make a soundbyte when a new album comes out. It is enough to sell the first week, but there is little long lasting success. You can be angry with me for saying that if you'd like, but it is the truth. IT's sometimes hard to understand when you are so insular. I am completely the same way. I don't get when people DON'T know about something Queen related because I'm all in so much that it's just a well known thing. Like for example when the News of the World Boxset came out, I talked to a friend of mine who is a rock fan (more Beatles and beach Boys, etc.) who collects vinyl, etc. and he had NOT idea that it was coming out.
Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. I think he would tour if he could, but he doesn't have the backing for the kind of tour he'd want to do. So while I understand wating new music. I've wanted new Queen music since 2008 and The Cosmos Rocks and have had to settle for an RT album (which I would gladly settle for again Roger if you're listening) and some songs Brian wrote for Kerry (precious few). But it's not successful for them while the tour is. The tour depends on casual fans and Adam fans as much as it does Queen fans so I've also given up on getting much in the way of exciting setlists. It's going to be them strapping on the hits in a slightly different order.
I'm far more excited about the Bo Rhap soundtrack with one live track freshened up and a few retakes of old songs. I wish they had done one new song or something but I'll take the drips and drabs over nothing.
If QAL comes to the US, I'll still be there no doubt but it's not as exciting the 3rd or 4th time around especially given the deep catalogue they could be tapping...OR the fact that by now they could be trying new material out together. . But people on both sides of the fences are going to have to see that for all intents and purposes this is what it is going to be for a little while longer (and probably for as long as they can manage....

And not only reading but participating too! The truth is QAL is a fully symbolic arrangement. This is a fact. Both Queen and Adam are riding the same “mutual benefit and adoration” train. I understand and agree with the rest, except need to correct you: Adam needs to drop the next album before planning his solo tour... I think the next QAL tour will be aimed at new audiences, people who saw the movie and now want to see the “real thing”...it’ll be even more big hits than before probably, if that’s possible of course...

I'm with you Talon!!!! Ride the wave as long as it lasts. It's been good for both Adam and Queen. For me it allowed me to see my favorite band and my newest obsession . I was a huge fan of Queen back in the seventies. My husband adored the band, he was a musician and knew something amazing when he heard it! I remember when he was on tour and we would be travelling from gig to gig we would put in the 8 track of Queen, yes 8 track or tape and sing at the top of our lungs. Anyway, don't know how much longer it will go on so enjoy it while we have it. I know once it's over people will miss it!

my two cents:
1. Trust a bitch
2. I don't make the business decisions so I am happy with anything that allows Adam to be visible.
3. I do think that the QAL has garnered Adam more respect in the music business and who knows, maybe they will incorporate some of Adam's solo music...

I just had a scary thought: what if they don’t find a US distributor for Playmobil? Will peeps have to travel to EU to see it?

I am so thrilled for the success that Adam is realizing. Happy that he is being given so many opportunities to share his gift with the world. He has worked so hard and he seems to finally be getting recognition from the industry. He has always voiced the desire to have a diversified career and his tours with QAL have definitely put him on the map. He has shown himself to be a professional in every respect. "A bird in the hand" as far as I'm concerned re QAL. It's a money maker and provides him the financial security to pursue whatever other interests present themselves. Good on ya, Lambert!
