We critique hair, clothes, beard, music...etc etc etc....all part of being on a fan board. I'm on a couple of other fan boards (not Adam), and it's all the same.
I love the guy, but his fashion is hit or miss FOR ME, but that's part of his appeal because he never looks the same...he always changes.
When he sang with Leona Lewis on Girl Crush, I could have eaten him up with a spoon...sex personified.
Today, not so much.

Adam co-writes most of his songs. We don't know the why or when his album will be ready but I doubt that is the problem. A lot of artists play instruments and they are still not legends. If only it were that simple. Totally agree. Adam was once asked if he played an instrument. He answered, "I play my throat." I don't think that he needs to learn to play an instrument into order to be more successful. He's doing what he does best right now: sing. And yes, he does co-write most of songs. He says he has plenty of songs ready to go, probably far more than he needs for an album. It'll come. And it looks like Queen fans are loving the movie. That's what counts. They will flock to it and enjoy it regardless of the critics. he's co-writer only on paper, he writes some lyrics but you can't compose music when you don't play any instruments. It's impossible. He only could say ''I like this melody or that bass' that's all. Unfortunately fans don't give awards for the movie, not important ones. When I started watching BR I thought that critics went wrong but later on I found out why they didn't like it. It should be movie with Oscars potential.

I think he looks great. The ONLY thing I think he should change is the beard. It's too big and fluffy and I like the light scruff much better But I do like the outfit. Funky but formal. I'm glad he's there on the red carpet answering questions and getting some media time. He's getting some nice bonus attention from the movie and that's a very good thing. I’m with you, all looks good but the beard is too over stylized. For me it is the way he has trimmed the chin that makes the look go off, it is not flattering to his face shape and certainly does not photograph well especially from the side. I was hoping after Halloween it would be trimmed from the devil pointy look. Loving the longer hair though so all else is forgiven...swoon.

I don't agree with the "have to sing, play instrument(s) and write your own songs" in order to be a "legend".
Adam is a world class singer, whether he plays an instrument or not, and whether he writes his own music or not. There are plenty of amazing singers who never write their own songs.
I've never agreed with the concept that every singer should be writing his/her own songs.

What difference would that make anyway, Adam's a collaborator, he works best with a group of people. The way he chooses to create music is his business, so long as it works for him that's all that matters.

You could be a legend without great voice but you have to have a great songs. I love Adam's voice, he deserves better and imo he doesn't have great song. Prove me wrong

There are people who do the music and some who contribute to the writing and some who do both. Whatever his contribution is for various songs, there is no way any of us would know how much he contributes to all of his songs. Maybe a little for some and more for others. But there are plenty of singer-songwriters who are playing to 100 people in a club/dive bar/lounge and releasing albums that don't make the Billboard 200. They enjoy their bragging rights, tho, it does not make them much money. I think Adam is doing fine with his career.

What difference would that make anyway, Adam's a collaborator, he works best with a group of people. The way he chooses to create music is his business, so long as it works for him that's all that matters. The way many pop songs are written these days is by committee, on an assembly line. There has been a lot written about the process. I am not a fan of the result. I was talking about that with my musician sister and my family. To illustrate what I meant, I asked my sister to play a four chord sequence on the piano. Then, I just sang notes to go with the chords, inventing a "melody line" without thinking. Easy-peasy, and not really creative at all. (I know I am not a composer!) Adam has discussed the process a couple of times, and it sounded like he worked similarly. Since he doesn't play an instrument, he cannot create the harmonic chord structure, but has to rely on someone else to lay down that foundation. He can improvise a melody line easily. He has a good ear for that. It is not composing as I know the concept, but it is what happens in pop today. Will it result in a song like Bo Rhap or WWTLF? Or As Long As You're Mine? Not in a million years. But, pop fans don't care. They like what they hear.
