I'm a sports talk junkie and it's been interesting to me how heavily BoRap has been advertised on the sports channels. Tomorrow the NFL channel will be featuring an interview with the actors from the movie. I guess sports junkies are a targeted demographic. I plan to see the movie but will wait until next week on a rainy day.
I am presently waiting for my first grandchild to enter this world. She is over-due -- somewhat like waiting for Adam to drop some new music. Like I told my daughter-in-law -- her daughter will come when she's ready to come. I took that philosophy about Adam's career a long time ago. He's here, he's present, and he continues to create new opportunities for himself. His new music will surface when it's time.

So I saw the movie last night in IMAX. The sound was incredible and this band just makes me so happy in all of its forms. Rami Malek is outstanding beyond words. He really embodies Freddie’s physicality and oh my, the costumes are incredible! I thought that Adam’s cameo was slightly longer in the early cut I saw but It’s really awesome nonetheless. Even casual Queen fans will probably find something to like in this movie but if nothing else, the Live Aid sequence is simply phenomenal filmmaking. Going again tomorrow and Saturday! Yes I’m a dork, lol. I am sitting in IMAX waiting for movie to start!! First showing in my time, but only about 2 dozen people at the IMAX showing.

@graciejane I've wondered about that too. I actually do believe him mostly when he seems relaxed about his current situation. Although i ask myself how long and what it took for Adam as we "know" him as a person to get there to that mindset. Which doesn't mean it can't "get to him" at times.
I do believe Adam when he says it's not as simple as queen or solo. Music. It's maybe a good time filler until inspiration strikes again for the next album and you don't have to force yourself. Don't see, why Adam would be without a label.

I don't think the E4 hiatus has anything to do with Queen at all. I don't think it has much to do with Queen either. Adam released albums in 2009,2012, and 2015 so this one is not all that far behind considering he left his label. Daughtry released his last album after 5 years and he was not fronting Queen and is on his same label, lol. My guess is, if Adam has another major label (sorta hard to believe he would leave WB with nothing in place but ya never know) they will determine when he can release. There may be others on their roster who get to go first. If he does not have a label then releasing now as an Indie would not do much for him. No radio play and certainly no international push and promotion. Some fans may be happy just to hear more music that goes no place but I sure would like to see more for him. So I'm willing to wait until things are in place and enjoy any Queen gifts in the meantime. lurleene, thanks for once again calming me down a bit. We do tend to lose perspective about the intervals between Adam's albums. I know I do. As you point out, he's pretty much on schedule, about three years between. Not bad, considering all the QAL stuff (which I still think has some impact). Anyway, my blood pressure has gone down, thanks to you. New music WILL appear in 2019. And it will be full of gems. He toured on TOH and had a pretty strong song on it (GT). Hope for at least that much coming from A4. The label support and promo are really important. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the Elvis special and QAL and whatever else comes up. Just want him out there singing.

Just got out of the movie a little while ago and I really enjoyed it! The Live Aid scene had me choking up. And I was so happy to see Adam even though if you weren't an Adam fan you would not know it is him. I don't want to say too much and spoil it for those going to see it. I am really glad I went to see it. My son enjoyed it also.

Going to BoRhap Saturday at 3 with hubby. Looking forward to it. Even though I never got to see Queen w Freddie in concert, Queen was influential to me, growing up. I can still remember doing dishes in the kitchen with BoRhap playing on AM radio. Yes, no dishwasher, and AM radio. My father, growling about having to hear that noise. God rest his soul, he passed last month at the age of 94.

Oh Hell! I don't care what he does or how he looks; I'm a fan for life. ITA.
I was in a business meeting today with three other people (30ish and 40ish) and WWFM came on the soundsystem -- I mentioned that it was a song by favorite musician -- and the three people I was with all knew it was Adam Lambert. So perhaps he is more famous than we think sometimes.

Don't see, why Adam would be without a label. Well, we don't know for sure that it was even his decision to leave WBR. That has never been discussed by anyone official ( and I don't put a whole lot of stock on an anonymous poster here at Adamtopia who pops in and out with "insider" knowledge). Hooking up with a major label is a challenge for sure, and I hope that we learn at some point just where Adam is in this equation. I do think if he had a major, there would be much more focus on getting an album out. I don't think the hold-up is that he is lacking inspiration

More ppl would prob know that song more than Adam arguably. Obviousley Ghost Town went Triple Platnum in OZ. Adam has success. Its not like none of his songs have not become hits. IF were talking Format. I Think Adams best genre is HAC myself. But well see with A4. I am not sure about the whole label thing. We know he has a new management. I am assuming if he is gearing up to release a studio album next year. Than he must have a major label.
