(looks like there's an http stuck in the middle there that I did not check, so that is likely the problem)) Very nice that the guy named Guy was quick to mention Adam first when he was asked which current singers have a great range. No brainer! Nice to know that Adam's name comes to mind fast when it comes to vocal skills. |

read an article in "der Stern" today. They praised the movie for what it was. A great piece of entertainment and of course Rami Maleks acting but criticized the same thing as the other reviews. Queens live cannot be portrayed in a pg movie. They had good argumentation citing a biography. Taking a whole paragraph describing a party from the book and yes, those things were not in the movie. What they really criticized is that Roger, Brian and Deacon are portrayed as way to tame. While not every single detail was explicitly shown Freddie was definitely not pictured as innocent. My DH's only criticism about the movie was that he can't imagine how Roger, Brian, and Deacon were as tame as they came across in the movie, especially as young rock stars. The movie hinted a bit at Roger as the "ladies man" of the group but that was very mild, while Freddie to us was portrayed as an eccentric person with excessive tendencies during periods of his life. |

Bohemian Rhapsody is now the second highest grossing music biopic in history upon its successful opening weekend. The film grossed over $43 million-$45 million, surpassing Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s beloved remake of A Star Is Born. The Queen biopic, starring Rami Malek as frontman Freddie Mercury, exceeded box office expectations, according to Billboard. In terms of music-related biopics, the film now follows 2015’s Straight Outta Compton, whose box office debut totaled $60.2 million. For comparison, A Star Is Born brought in $42.9 million while sharing the same opening weekend as Venom last month. While Bohemian Rhapsody had a pretty hefty budget of $55 million, creators should have no problem making it all back.
