I LOVED Bohemian Rhapsody, more than I expected! I cried quite a few times and was engrossed. I saw in IMAX and the music was fabulous. As others have said, everyone sat through the credits while they showed actual concert footage of Queen as it was so mesmerizing. At the end of our showing, I guy stood up a few rows down and yelled something like "Wasn't that awesome guys" to which most of us clapped. I think that they should capitalize on the success of the movie worldwide and announce a tour ASAP, now is the time! Same. I happened to go earlier than actually planned, and I was glad I did. My husband, my daughter, and I agreed that the movie was captivating, inspiring, and entertaining! I need to see it again, and ... I would be very surprised if there wasn't another worldwide tour.

Not sure if someone like Adam would get "intentionally shelved" as in point #5 of "5-reasons-never-to-sign..." - I think he is not generic enough for that. However, this excerpt from reason #3 really made me wonder: "...A product that 'isn’t for everybody' is a marketers dream… …and a major record labels worst nightmare." Could Adam be stuck in the middle? My daughter just told me to not worry. Quote: "Adam is an air sign and he's not meant to be stuck in a box... it will all work out." The #5 I worry about - being shelved, isn't about being generic it's about having someone else on the roster that fits the same bill and I worry that the labels peg Adam into - gay man and there are so many up and comers in that category that are gayer. Yeah, I know, all the cliches but we are talking record labels here and he's getting older and they are all younger. So if you only have so many slots, what happens when that one pigeon hole is already filled? And then to your number 3 - not generic enough. Doesn't fit the box for 5 but still too much for middle america. Which is the same place we've worried about him for a decade. And that's when he get's pushed into remaking covers because that's a safe bet, well within Ring of Fire safety levels. Known songs to make him more generic. You have a point. I didn't quite realize that there is competition from within the gay community. On the other hand, as "being shelved" more or less means taken out as a competitor, would Adam be such a threat? He may fit a slightly different bill. I don't know.

And it is not as if the other gay artists are having huge success with their music except for Sam. But he even slowed down and has had less success this era. Other than Adam and Sam I don't think the others are headlining on world tours.

Thanks for the delicious cake, betty!! I love strawberry shortcake. I ended up spending most of my day at home recovering from a bad cold - it felt warm, comforting, and relaxing

Well, I finally saw the movie this morning. I thought I was going to have to drive an hour to Birmingham, but found out on Friday that it was indeed going to be shown here in my little rural southern town at my local 10 plex AMC theater. My location wasn't listed or linked to in the BoRhap tickets link so I was thrilled to have it playing here. Not only is it playing here, but there were 9 showings today. We, along with 6 other folks, went to the show this morning at 10:30. There were many more cars in the lot when we left, so I hope it drew bigger crowds in the afternoon. Anyway, so glad to have contributed my $8 to the movie grosses. I really enjoyed it. I plan on trying to see it one more time. I thought Rami was great and especially liked him more and more as the movie developed and liked his short hair and mustache look. I thought the Brian character was fantastic....spot on. I thought the Roger character was just OK. There just wasn't enough about each of them including John Deacon. The music was the big star IMO.....loved it. I got tickled at how they used I'm In Love w My Car as kinda a joke/punching bag on a couple of different occasions. I don't know the history behind that song but I love it when Roger sings it on tour. The Paul character made me mad as hell. I liked the actor who played him in Downton Abbey...lol. Guess every story needs a villan. Adam's part went by in a flash....I guess that final look as he entered the bathroom was the "laughable glance"....altho I didn't see anything laughable about it. I kept looking for the scene in the previews where Freddie was on a bed with a male suitor....guess that got cut. There really weren't any love/sex scenes at all. According to this reviewer's YT......several scenes from the trailers and previews were omitted. Somebody in the comments said Rami said there was 40 minutes of footage cut and they are hoping that, along with WWRY and CLTCL from Live Aid will be included in a DVD/bluray extended version. I'm in Love with my Car is the B-side for Bohemian Rhapsody.
