twitter.com/AltPress/status/1059221873983152128Alternative Press @altpress Did you catch this super quick cameo? 🤔 www.altpress.com/news/adam-lambert-cameo-bohemian-rhapsody-freddie-mercury/ … Current Queen frontman, Adam Lambert, makes a super brief cameo in the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. During an interview from the film’s premiere, Lambert told Access that his appearance is “very, very mysterious.” Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot the singer during the film, a brief moment that takes place while Mercury (played by Rami Malek) is at a truck stop on Queen’s first-ever North American tour. Lambert can be seen in the background of the shot while Mercury calls his then-fiance from a pay phone. According to Billboard, he’s playing “a suitor waiting for a public restroom hookup.” Lambert has been on tour with Queen for the past six years. The singer told Billboard he “became obsessed with Mercury in his early 20s.” “Musically, I loved his attack: He was very aggressive and seemed in control of everything he was singing. Later, seeing some live performances [on video], it was also his stage presence, the way he was so over the top,” Lambert said. “I knew he meant to be campy and wild to entertain people. I identified with that in him very quickly.” Bohemian Rhapsody breaks box office records Bohemian Rhapsody is now the second highest grossing music biopic in history upon its successful opening weekend. The film grossed over $43 million-$45 million, surpassing Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s beloved remake of A Star Is Born. The Queen biopic, starring Rami Malek as frontman Freddie Mercury, exceeded box office expectations, according to Billboard. In terms of music-related biopics, the film now follows 2015’s Straight Outta Compton, whose box office debut totaled $60.2 million. Finally saw Bohemian Rhapsody today. The parts centered around the music were stellar! I really enjoyed the entire movie, but I also really appreciate Talon's "fact check" list. It's probably inevitable that some of the movie seemed melodramatic. They tried to squish so much of Freddie's life into a small amount of time. I'm glad they went the direction they did. There were many teens/ children in the audience.
i tried to see the movie yesterday, but two scenes into it, emergency lights flashed and sirens went off! A recorded voice instructed us on an emergency and told us to proceed calmly to the nearest exit. The crowd exited calmly (mostly) but when we didn't hear any signs of emergency, we all circled around to the front of the building to be let back in! Lol, some almost pressed their faces up to the glass. We REALLY wanted to see this movie!! The staff could not fix what was probably a computer error, so we all got vouchers instead. I recognized a few faces returned to the theater today.
Finally, here's a viral video of perhaps the youngest rendition of BoRap ever! This movie is destined for success!
Almost forgot! Adam's cameo was much bigger than I thought! I think I would have recognized him without knowing. (Or perhaps it chalk it up to the "seeing Adam everywhere" phenomenon!)

Not sure if someone like Adam would get "intentionally shelved" as in point #5 of "5-reasons-never-to-sign..." - I think he is not generic enough for that. However, this excerpt from reason #3 really made me wonder: "...A product that 'isn’t for everybody' is a marketers dream… …and a major record labels worst nightmare." Could Adam be stuck in the middle? I really hope it is NOT record label politics that are preventing Adam's music from being released. If the jack--s from RCA is back and throwing up road blocks to release of new music - the guy is a moron because there is a huge fan base waiting to buy it. I think alot of this is pure speculation and conjecture. We dont know what the change at Adamofficial signals. OR if anything. Adam said I wish i knew. We know he has a management. I doubt he would be working on a LP. IF he had no label.

Well, I finally saw the movie this morning. I thought I was going to have to drive an hour to Birmingham, but found out on Friday that it was indeed going to be shown here in my little rural southern town at my local 10 plex AMC theater. My location wasn't listed or linked to in the BoRhap tickets link so I was thrilled to have it playing here. Not only is it playing here, but there were 9 showings today. We, along with 6 other folks, went to the show this morning at 10:30. There were many more cars in the lot when we left, so I hope it drew bigger crowds in the afternoon. Anyway, so glad to have contributed my $8 to the movie grosses.
I really enjoyed it. I plan on trying to see it one more time. I thought Rami was great and especially liked him more and more as the movie developed and liked his short hair and mustache look. I thought the Brian character was fantastic....spot on. I thought the Roger character was just OK. There just wasn't enough about each of them including John Deacon. The music was the big star IMO.....loved it. I got tickled at how they used I'm In Love w My Car as kinda a joke/punching bag on a couple of different occasions. I don't know the history behind that song but I love it when Roger sings it on tour. The Paul character made me mad as hell. I liked the actor who played him in Downton Abbey...lol. Guess every story needs a villan. Adam's part went by in a flash....I guess that final look as he entered the bathroom was the "laughable glance"....altho I didn't see anything laughable about it.
I kept looking for the scene in the previews where Freddie was on a bed with a male suitor....guess that got cut. There really weren't any love/sex scenes at all. According to this reviewer's YT......several scenes from the trailers and previews were omitted. Somebody in the comments said Rami said there was 40 minutes of footage cut and they are hoping that, along with WWRY and CLTCL from Live Aid will be included in a DVD/bluray extended version.
