I read an article in Ultimate Classic Rock that has the same info. Although that montage line was used, it does not seem like the biographer had been continually slamming the movie like the Inquisitr article suggests. Wonder if it was embellished to make it click bait. ultimateclassicrock.com/freddie-mercury-imprisoned-by-fame/

I think one of the reasons the movie has done so well is that fans of the movie understand and accept (ignoring the critics) that they could not cover a 45 year life of Freddie and his true self in a two hour movie. And while I found the documentary of the early years of Freddie's life fascinating and enjoyable when I watched it, I would not pay money at the movies to see it. And that Freddie tried to keep some of his personal life private while alive, I respect Brian and Roger even more for not exploiting all the details of his personal life (no matter all the criticism) after his death. They gave him the respect and a degree of the privacy that he craved when he was alive, tho, many wanted to strip him of that then and now. I think a lot of Freddie's fans appreciate that.

I agree with you completely.
People go to the movies for many reasons but this movie seems to have hit the balance between an interesting movie and an entertaining movie.
I am also so thankful that they did not proceed with Sasha Baron Cohen as Freddie. It would have been so wrong in this movie.

Not sure what or if this means anything! The Boss is paving the way for big musicians on Broadway Bruce Springsteen has paved the way for a host of legendary music acts to play the Great White Way in 2019. A group of powerful entertainment companies — Live Nation, Creative Artists Associates and Entertainment Benefits Group — is about to snap up a Broadway theater where A-list rock, pop and country performers will be “in residency” for three-week stints. Deals have not been finalized, but CAA — home to Springsteen’s agent — represents a boatload of superstars, including Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, Bette Milder, Aerosmith, Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, James Taylor, Demi Lovato, Diana Ross, Faith Hill, the Eagles, Michael Bublé and Adam Lambert.
All are in the mix to play Broadway.nypost.com/2018/11/22/the-boss-is-paving-the-way-for-big-musicians-on-broadway/

@lurleene WOW, that sounds interesting and awesome! There is something I would like to share with you all because it is interesting to me and moving. I get to whitness two generations of gay men and they couldn't be more different. One is my uncle. He came out when he was well over 40 a few years ago. It was and is an internal struggle for him to accept it. He has a difficult on-off relationship. When that other guy wasn't faithful my uncle wasn't either. He got infected with HIV. This summer he revealed to my parents that he had spent 30 wishing every night he would't wake up again the next morning. he still goes through difficult phases, where he is more reserved and not as accessible. The other is my best friend (yes, the one that "looks-like" Adam). He came out this summer. He said he was seeing this guy. He had broken up with his girlfriend only a few month before. I was like: you expect me to be surprised? ^^...I reminded him that he told me that he had slept with a guy, before he even had his first girlfriend. I was the first one he came out to (yes, I sill feel flattered in a weired way lol). He said he felt like I would be most open and understanding. I just said: that if I go to an Adam Lambert concert I should be open The following weeks he came out to more and more friends. They all were cool with it. He kept his circle (our shared) circle of friends. His three siblings were also very chill about it. When he came out to his parents his mom gave him a big hug. His dad was a bit stunned but I've never heard anything that his dad changed his behavior towards him. Right now he is a phase of exploration. I told him to give Adam a big thanks for me being so understanding lol I can not begin to describe how it warms my heart an makes me happy how relationship has taken on even more depth. We were already very close after 10 years of friendship but he never wanted us to be mistaken as a couple (which we were a lot). He always wanted to keep a distance (no arms around each other etc.) Now there is so much more ease and closeness to our friendship. I cannot tell you how much my heart is overflowing.
It's just interesting to see how different it can be.
