Kennedy Center Honors
The Honors Gala was recorded yesterday for broadcast on the CBS Network for the 41st consecutive year as a two-hour primetime special on Wednesday, December 26 at 8 PM EST.
Adam sang “Believe” and Adam and Cyndi Lauper performed a duet of “I Got You Babe.”
Washington Post: “Lambert, turning up for the Cher tribute, made an event high point of Cher’s 1998 hit “Believe,”… “
Whoopi Goldberg, in introducing the night’s final segment, extolling Cher, did Peterman one better. “Elvis. Sinatra. Cher,” she declared, grandly.
Lambert, turning up for the Cher tribute, made an event high point of Cher’s 1998 hit “Believe,” and Lauper materialized immediately after and got the audience on its feet to bop along with “If I Could Turn Back Time.” From the Opera House box that the winners shared with such officials as Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., a glowing Cher could be seen, tearfully taking in the moment.

Betsey Sanpere
What can be better than being at the Kennedy Center Honors rehearsal with Katherine Sanpere? Amazing. Who performed? (Read til the end) Here goes! Kelly Clarkson, Brooks and Dunn (great!), Herbie Hancock, Weathermen, Kristen Chenowith, Lady Antebellum, Melissa Peterman, Bernie Williams (ex NY Yankee but amazing musician), the Band Leader from the Colbert Show, Renee Fleming; Little Big Town, Adam Lambert and Cyndi Lauper (singing Cher songs and then as Sonny and Cher - "I Got You Babe"), a few people who were announcing and introducing - Amanda Seyfried, Whoopi Goldberg, hosting was Gloria Estafan whose husband was sitting right next to us and we had a nice chat too..
AND READY GUYS - FROM HAMILTON, the Schuyler Sisters including Renee Goldsberry, Christopher Jackson (George Washington) and Lin Manuel Miranda !!!!!!!!!!!! They sang 4 songs including "The Room Where it Happened" and G Washington and Alexander Hamilton did the rap and song where Washington said he was no longer going to be President. My life is complete, I saw LMM in person; not only singing but coordinating the group's performance. He's a doll! Tommy Kail is a doll, Alec Lacamoire is darling too.

Cher will get tributes from Little Big Town (why? Because they’re country– have nada to do with her) singing “Baby Don’t Go” and “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves,” Cyndi Lauper (whom she toured with) sang “If I Could Turn Back Time.” Cyndi and Adam Lambert sang “I Got You, Babe.” Lambert also sang “Believe.”
