It's just not that simple. Doubt Adam's marketing team would accept any ideas without that person signing their life away first. Otherwise that passion translates to litigation down the line for a share of the profits. (messed up quote thing. oh well, also sneaking around fr work) maybe I'm a glass half full kind of person but I don't see Adam's team as some mafioso type machine where it's all or nothing. Adam has used fan art for his twitter avi. AO happily hightlights and display the various fan paintings and drawings. I think Adam and his team are very aware of the creative genius that resides within his fanbase and I think if they could figure out a way to harness it they would. That said, I'm betting the majority of the creative people within the fandom would give him their ideas for free without expectation of anything more than bragging rights that Adam used their design. Exactly. That's why I said, "Sign a waiver." We brainstorm ideas here and on Twitter all day. Adam has even said that he's used those ideas. Angelkrash made a T-shirt that she will not profit on because she wants to wear a T-shirt like that. WE are the ones consuming the product. We are the target market. I work in media and receive pitches all day long; I know all about the legalities involved with making unsolicited pitches. When you enter a contest, part of the entry form is a release waiver, you relinquish your rights to your contest entry for a chance at a prize. It's no different than a national high school science competition. Or Macy's sponsoring a fashion and design competition. It's done all the time. We wouldn't have the rights to any idea we came up with regarding Adam anyway because we do not have the rights to his name or image, so nothing could ever be legally made and marketed in the first place.

Gelly and Hoopla, yes but these are false cognitives and they are so difficult for any non-native speaker to get right. In fact spies have been taken out by making those mistakes.
The American expression: "its all Greek to me" translates into many languages, but the language under discussion might be different...i.e. in German you would have to either say: it's all Spanish to me or it's all Chinese to me (Das ist alles spanisch fuer mich oder das ist alles chinesisch fuer mich).
On the other hand the Greek expression "for me everything is Greek" seems to mean something different altogether. If I understand Gelly right it is closer to saying...wherever there is apple pie there is home.....and you Americans can tell me whether you have any American sayings that are closer than that. Something that compares to "wherever I go I carry Greece with me". Can't think of one right now.
By the way: When you are a foreigner and first come to US the biggest hurdle is the sports language, because given that America has these unusual sports that you don't know either, you need to learn both the expression as well as the underlying sport that is referenced. Some you do intuitively understand of course, but others you don't and it can add up:
This was my list from my first two days of work in US...yes it has been 18 years ago. I wrote it down because it was so surprising for me, and bit by bit I learned what they all meant:
We need to tackle this problem. Hand-guesture during meeting that looks like a T (it means time-out), but nobody explained that to me. Is this meeting over??? No this is just a seventh inning stretch. This is like trying to steal third base. This is so out in left field. March Madness will be upon us by then.
....and this list was probably incomplete, because some stuff I probably missed, because I did not even understand that people were talking sports. It takes a while to get a handle on that side of life in the USA.
How this is related to Adam? Here is a question: Anybody ever heard him use a sports reference? I cannot recall even ONE. Yet, I cannot think of any man in my RL world here in the US of whom that could be said. All men seem to talk sports all the time, even when it is not about sports at all.

She couldn't make a profit if she wanted to as Adam's image is copyrighted.
And as far as submissions, it's more that just a waiver involved if the design is accepted.
It's not an impossible thing, it's just not that simple.

Just wanted to put twitter in perspective. There are a number of fans, and you tell by their handles, they have differing fan investment wants. By checking his @replies you can see that some overinvested fans tweet a 1000 tweets a day to Adam, hoping that he will catch one of them. So can you imagine his feed with 10 to 100 thousand of these daily. Some express that he should have undying love for Tommy and hate Sauli, there are some that love Sauli and are very specific on what they want him to do with the relationship. Some threaten bodily harm. FANDOM CAN NAME THEse tweeters, THAT SPEND A LOT OF TIME ON TWITTER. Then there are the invested haterz that threaten his life and bodily harm and wish him dead. He gets at least a 100 of those a day. Oh not to mention all the negative comments on article that has his name in them.
Adam reads these. He shouldn't, but he does.
Katy Perry went on a twitter rant the other day about product placement in music videos. She let it all hang out in no uncertain words because she was criticized for her feelings on the subject. You should read Kanye's tweets or some of the other singers. disgusting.
Twitter is the devil, but it is a means for swift and effective communication. Sometimes I have to step back from Twitter and it's not EVEN directed at me.
