hoopla thanks for explaining. So i guess it was not the sophisticated version of this phrase i posted, it was the silly one LOL. Actually, YOUR translation was more sophisticated, Gelly--the American phrase is just a silly one, just a saying to represent cluelessness. Okay, one pic for me before heading out INTO THE DAMNED SNOW: It's beautiful Blue Boy Adam

It's just not that simple. Doubt Adam's marketing team would accept any ideas without that person signing their life away first. Otherwise that passion translates to litigation down the line for a share of the profits. (messed up quote thing. oh well, also sneaking around fr work) maybe I'm a glass half full kind of person but I don't see Adam's team as some mafioso type machine where it's all or nothing. Adam has used fan art for his twitter avi. AO happily hightlights and display the various fan paintings and drawings. I think Adam and his team are very aware of the creative genius that resides within his fanbase and I think if they could figure out a way to harness it they would. That said, I'm betting the majority of the creative people within the fandom would give him their ideas for free without expectation of anything more than bragging rights that Adam used their design.

Well, this video has nothing to do with Adam, except that I'm sure he would celebrate this if he were here, and every step in this direction moves HIM closer to full equality under the law.. It's moving because of the people talking about what it means to them and their partners, sons, daughters, etc.

Seems like a wonderful opportunity for a contest on AO. Have fans submit tour items/tshirt designs and let the fans choose their favorites with the winners getting a signed version of their item.

It's not a mafioso team, it's a business. And with a business comes contracts. Bidding processes, no-compete clauses, copyright issues, and the like. Many people are willing to give their ideas for nothing. It's not always that way down the line when the same person may feel taken advantage of. Just saying that it's not as simple as it seems. There's a reason these kinds of things are not already done. edit: the avi thing cannot be used as an example. it is not something done for profit. big diff there.
