So, I am personally coming up on the two year anniversary of some bizarre form of love at first sight, experienced through the random flipping of channels while in a hotel room in Mexico City looking for anything in English. It hit me like a two by four and I'm still reeling!
In between then and now, I have been nothing short of totally, consistently, wildly and deeply....ENTERTAINED!!

Entertained by this unique man in all his incarnations, by his gorgeous voice and his wild stage antics, by his consistent poking at established conventions from hot boys on his arm to blue in his hair, by his crazy outfits and his frayed suits, by his attempts to navigate his path to stardom which sometimes works beyond what one would ever imagine and sometimes madly crashes and burns, by the the creative, kind and funny fans here at ATOP, and (yes, even this) by the discovery of the astonishing world of Idol and the obsessive love/hate/entitlement emotions it seems to generate (I mean....seriously, who knew????).

And throughout it all...."I have never questioned my visceral reaction" (TM Ms Abdul) I am just along for the ride and am enjoying it immensely

Just wanted to put twitter in perspective. There are a number of fans, and you tell by their handles, they have differing fan investment wants. By checking his @replies you can see that some overinvested fans tweet a 1000 tweets a day to Adam, hoping that he will catch one of them. So can you imagine his feed with 10 to 100 thousand of these daily. Some express that he should have undying love for Tommy and hate Sauli, there are some that love Sauli and are very specific on what they want him to do with the relationship. Some threaten bodily harm. FANDOM CAN NAME THEse tweeters, THAT SPEND A LOT OF TIME ON TWITTER. Then there are the invested haterz that threaten his life and bodily harm and wish him dead. He gets at least a 100 of those a day. Oh not to mention all the negative comments on article that has his name in them.

Twitter is the devil, but it is a means for swift and effective communication. Sometimes I have to step back from Twitter and it's not EVEN directed at me.

Now THIS I liked! It must be a tonal quality thing - I really enjoyed this woman's voice even though Ia didn't understand a word she was saying (I'm assuming it isn't English - if it is, then the enunciation is terrible ) Only problem is that as a choral singer I know the lachrymosa very, very well and it will now be running through my head for days!
