I want to bring this over from the end of yesterday's thread, just in case anyone misses it ;D (and I meant to post it last night - sorry eri9  ) eri9 has done an AWESOME job on it! I saw your discussion about SuBo yesterday IMO I may be waaaaaay off here but I think it's another way for Simon to get people talking about SuBo.How else is he gonna make people talk about her? Simon loves controversy. It's all about money. Not laughing about it. Maybe I'm totally wrong but seoulmatewhen you talked about what questions the reporters are gonna ask Adam when era 2 starts (and since ALL reporters looooove controversy) I bet my money on what is the question that EVERYONE is gonna ask him. And not only US reporters but reporters from all over the world. Mad World is a significant moment in Adam's career internationally. I think it will make Adam explode inside. JMHO. |

I dunno, I think fans feel a much larger sense of "ownership" of the song than Adam. For example, I wouldn't expect to hear him sing it at all for this next tour. I suspect to him it's more of a cover he's aware that the fans love (or well, did till many of us got a little tired of it) than something he would feel mad about. I think it's much bigger to us in fandom than out in the real world, it's been a long time since S8 and I'd honestly be surprised if anyone other than the Idol-centric media asked him anything about SuBo singing it. |

I didn't explain myself clearly.I'm not talking about the song itself and what Adam or the fans think about it. You're right the way I wrote it, seems like Adam will be mad about SuBo singing Mad World. The other day we were talking about reporters and making the same questions over and over again to the point that made Adam tweet that he's tired of listening to the same ones. I'm talking about the question that all media is gonna ask him about what he thinks of SuBo covering Mad Worldm and if he thinks that her cover is good.This question is what I feel would be repeated over and over and it will make Adam not mad but it will annoy him . Not the actual fact that SuBo is gonna sing Mad World. Anyway I think that up to now many of the articles are still talking about that performance when they have the chance, and also reporters are usually trying to dig up to everything in the past that will bring some kind of controversy. I'm not saying that it will a big issue, I'm just talking about it.  |
