Can I just say that I'm an extreme worrywart and pessimist and I'm terrified of this second era. As much as I want new music, I'm dreading whether he will succeed or fail. After Cook's very dismal second era, I'm very worried. I know Adam has everything it takes to make it, but what if he ends up falling into the same boat as most of the idol winners do in the second era or if America is still not ready for him, especially if he doesn't hold back on stuff people will be offended by. He can't let it all hang out like the rappers or the females can so I'm wondering if he's going to sing to boys this time or what? I'm also dreading the OLFIP fan attacks if he bombs. I'll probably just crawl in a hole until it's all over. That what I did after the AMA's. I also hope Adam fans don't go overboard with the Adam storm stuff this time just in case it doesn't work. :-/ [borrows LindaG23's patting smiley...] don't worry, jo!!! I agree with mys*&@^#r... if Adam's popular/professional producers are flailing away, there's absolutely gonna be some kick-ass tracks on #2!!! And re. the opinions of OLFIP fans... I love this post

Dear Worrywart, Worrying doesn't really effect the outcome of anything. I think it only puts you in a negative place in your own head. Someone told me once that worrying is actually a sin. I don't mean to start a religious discussion. It's just that I used to think it was my responsibility to worry. Like if I thought of all the things that could go wrong, they wouldn't go wrong. I'm not talking about being prepared or getting your ducks all lined up in a row. I'm talking about general anxiety kind of worrying. You have to accept that you can't fix or change some things and let it go. Well, I may be a worrywart but I don't take things that seriously. LOL! My response would be that we are all different with different levels of anxiety in us. In fact, I'm not a believer in God so sin is not something I relate to, but I do believe that anxiety levels run in the genes because the females in my family all have extreme cases of OCD which is an anxiety problem. We also have different forms of paranoid schzophrenia that runs through the females too. These are genetic diseases and my daughter is the first in our family to actually be treated medically for OCD and anxiety. I guess it kind of offends me when people flippantly say that anxiety is a sin and worrying gets you nowhere. It's really not that simple to me or my family. Just saying. :( Hugs to you! Anxiety is a terrible thing to deal with and in my case medicine has done wonders. When I start to panic about Adam's career, I imagine the worse case scenario then think through how I will deal with it and how it can be turned around. I feel the most secure when I focus just on Adam and realize he is the one who really knows what is going on, has his plans and seems to be in control. He is happy so that makes me happy. My favorite gif is the one of Adam saying " I've got this"

Anyone watching The Sing-Off? The groups opening song, Pink's Perfect, was really good.

To those wonderful members of ATop who, from time to time, express worry about/concern for Adam regarding album #2, his management, his relationships, etc: We welcome your comments. We are not trying to tell you what you think/feel is wrong. There are some who disagree with your "take", just as there are some who disagree with the opinion that Adam wears too much black, or Adam would look better with an emo haircut, or Adam should have released another single from FYE.... or whatever topic is discussed here. It is part of the culture here to express contrasting opinions without passing judgment on the person. It is also part of the culture here, and in RL, to respond to someone who is concerned or worried about something. To try and comfort them, to offer a different perspective in order to allay their fears. Please consider accepting a different opinion as an expression of caring for you, and caring for Adam, rather than a criticism.
