I found another meaning for post gay that actually has his name Post Gay A concept in contemporary culture characterized by a distrust of the need to draw attention to or make issue of sexual orientation. A way to describe qualities or characteristics that may stereotypically be regarded as gay while simultaneously implying that labels based on sexual identity are unnecessary, old fashioned or irrelevant. Sam: Did you watch American Idol last night? Adam Lambert is such a fag! Susan: Grow up! Adam is a fantastic performer. He's totally post gay. I am sure that is the definition that he meant except of course he would awww and say thank you to the fantastic performer part. :D |

Sometimes when Adam posts arrows like this I wonder if deep down he considers us all faghags. Makes me feel icky. Is it just me? Last week someone posted the video where he said he didn't like "faghags" as a term and named us something else which excapes me at the moment. sparkly fairies or something. I think it's the same sentiment as when he didn't like the show about teen moms. It's the "too excess" which he objects to and in the faghags case it would be because we only like him because he's gay and we were trying to show off how "liberal" we are. I'm pretty sure he doesn't think that's the case for 99.9999% of us. |

OK, I understand the first sentence, but can someone translate the rest into REALLY simple English?  I honestly think it is more complicated than this but, simply put it is identifying as homosexual without letting your orientation define your life. Something Adam has always been about. Also, I found this quote at Word Spy ...." In a post-gay world, homosexuals have won their battle for acceptance and are now free to move beyond identity politics". |

I am more confident then ever that this album is going to me amazing AND set a new standard for material coming from a past contestant from Idol. The collaborators are definitely people that the idol crowd doesn't really work with and they are all writers/producers/etc of amazing pop music/amazing pop HIT music as well as out of the box, quirky type people like Nikka Costa and up and comers like BC Jean. I have a good feeling it's going to be super pop-y with mass appeal but still have that artsy, unique edge. If this album doesn't blow him up then IDK what would....very very excited. I need this album NOW. I love you! I love this post!! |
