Wow! Good for Adam as well, the spill-over effect will benefit him. And Playmobile - what a hoot! I loved playing with those with my son, over 50 years ago! Well, if Playmobil was popular 50 years ago and is popular now....how come I never heard of it before Adam got the part in the movie? lol. My son is 36 and he was into HeMan and Ninja Turtles. I think I remember Adam saying something about having a Skeletor playset...which we had too.
In 2017, 30% of their sales were in Germany, most of the rest in France, Spain, Benelux and the UK. Total sales of Playmobil were US$770 million. In 2017 Lego sales were around US$5 billion.
My son was a Duplo/Lego kid. But Playmobil has introduced some better designs since then.

So will non-US fans get to hear Adam or will it be dubbed over almost everywhere?

So will non-US fans get to hear Adam or will it be dubbed over almost everywhere? In Germany it will be dubbed for sure. All films are. The teaser trailer is already out and posted here in German. i would think, that it will be dubbed in most non-English speaking countries, because it’s a movie for young kids. Even in countries, that use to show films in the original language with subtitles, that isn’t practicable, because many kids won’t be able to read, yet. Edit: What I will hate the most: That they will most probably even record a German version of the songs used in the film. This way, I won’t hear Adam in the film at all. They did this with all the Disney movies for instance.

I am surprised that so many people here are unfamiliar with Playmobil. When you go to Target or Walmart, there is a whole section with those toys. Playmobile toy sets are expensive though, so the amount of sets my kids had, was limited. For the longest time, when Lego did not yet have characters like today, Playmobile characters were marching all over our lego castles or self-constructed objects that happened to cover our basement floor. No, they did not fit those Lego knobs, but kids creativity does not worry about such details.
I think, when Lego started expanding into characters and whole storybook sets, this did hurt Playmobil somewhat. But they are still for sale everywhere you can buy toys, including those educational toy stores all over the US.
Was not loving that trailer all that much, to be honest, but love Adam's character and I looking forward to hearing that song. Sounds like it will be rock, given that he was called the rock-n-roll emperor. That would be great.
And yes, I would love to hear Adam in Hair. If he were to do Margaret Meade again, who cares about age. Isn't she supposed to be older anyways, and he would actually be technically too young, not that it matters for that character. If Adam grows his hair out for a specific part or look and it is not quite long enough at the time, he can always use extensions. But not having to wear a wig is great on stage. If it is really true and he is growing it out, then he hid that very well, yesterday.
And yes, it would have been nice, if that lady and her team informed themselves a tad about Adam. He is the frontman of Queen, the biggest classic rock band right now, not just an idol show contestant from yesteryear. Maybe Shoshanna still needs to hand out an info sheet, for those that live under a rock and in December 2018 still have not heard about Queen or Adam's involvement with them.

Lol, count me as another one that didn't know about Playmobil. My kids were born 1987 and 1989, but the only thing in our house was Legos. Neither of the kids really played with them. My daughter was drawing from about 2 or 3 on (she didn't like dolls either lol). Son liked running around outside or playing with little cars. As he got older he like building models a bit. We didn't go to McD very much, so we must have missed them in the Happy Meals.
This Happy Meal promo was pretty famous as a market entry disaster - I can't find a news report online but this is from Wiki:
Playmobil was introduced to the United States by Mattel and Schaper.[8] In 1982, Schaper arranged a promotion to distribute Playmobil toys nationwide as in McDonald's Happy Meals. The five Playmobil toys that were to be included in the promotion were a Sheriff, an Indian, a Sheriff's Horse, an Umbrella Girl and a Farmer. Approximately 10 million of the Sheriff and Indian Playmobil toys were distributed from October 22 through November 1, 1982. Before the other toys could be distributed McDonald's ceased distribution and promotion of Playmobil at its restaurants after tests showed that the toy failed to comply with Consumer Product Safety Commission standards designed to prevent children under three from choking on dangerous items. (The Playmobil toys were not involved in any reported choking incidents.) McDonald's customers with children under three who received these toys were advised to discontinue their use and return the toys to a McDonald's in exchange for a dessert, a cone, or a refund.
This incident resulted in very low sales of Playmobil in the US for the big launch Christmas 1982.
Setting that aside, American kids grow up in a Lego world and (sorry/not sorry) Legos are better. To illustrate:
I asked my younger son if he was planning to open them. He scoffed. “I haven’t played with Playmobil in like four years.” It was true. He hadn’t even asked to set up our Playmobil remote-control train set—along with our Neustadt station where trains leave from Gleis 1 and Gleis 2—for the holidays last year.
I asked him to tell me why. “I play with Lego more. With Playmobil, you can’t do what you want and put two different sets together,” he said.
But I do not think the success of the movie will have much to do with the toys in the US. It will have a lot to do with the promotion and the quality of the movie. And, Playmobil characters have been used in stop action films for decades. YouTube is full of them.

The Castleman question made me cringe...the most inane song...I'm sure Adam would prefer not to have it called "his" song lol.

I‘m not sure, if every non-English speaking country will re-record the songs in the film. I actually doubt it. But as long as the song is telling a story or a character is actually singing, it’s dubbed in Germany. Only the radio version, should there be one, will be the original one. But as I mentioned earlier today: I actually liked the German teaser trailer, because the German voice of Maximus sounds at least like Adam’s Maximus. You need to appreciate the little things. Our films get dubbed. But it’s usually done excellently. And since I‘m living in Berlin, I think, I will get lucky and be able to see the original version with Adam in our Cinestar in the Sony Center. It’s one of a few cinemas, that show original versions, even of kids’ movies. If they won‘t show it, I‘ll have to wait for the DVD. There’s always the option to watch the film in the original language.
