One Twitter, we're having Battle of the Celebrity Berts. (OR Celebrity Bert-Down) Who will win for this week? In one corner, we have reserved, unflappable Nina Garcia, who has tweeted and posted more than a few photos of Adam, which is apparently uncharacteristic behavior for her. In the other corner, we have Rico Love, who tweeted, posted a pic AND made a TwitVid where he flailed with abandon and referred to Adam as a Muthafucking Beast countless times. Right now, I'd say it's close, but if Nina has a full-on bert flail on national TV tomorrow, she COULD pull it out. Nina just replied to this:

Have to post this from the Borowitz report: Rep. Bachmann addressed a Tea Party rally, bemoaning the expiration of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell: “I for one can tell you that Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell has been the key to many successful marriages.” Wonder how she defines 'successful'????? Her statement doesn't even make sense. But when does she ever make any sense? Yeah, Smokey, either she is A) trying to put a lame hetero spin on a serious life-altering topic B) showing the compassion of a 19-yr-old Palmetto bug. ( see how I cleverly linked OT discussions?) C) going for a lowest common denominator chuckle(see lame jokes not to tell at any public gathering, especially if you are trying to be "clever.") D)proving ( once again) that one need not understand a cosmopolitan world view in order to run for president. I, Deja Angel, have used up my weekly supply of parentheses in a single post. Could I ask for some good thoughts for my Grandmother? I posted her picture on her 103rd birthday last month. She is not doing well today (she first started feeling bad yesterday). I'm not sure it is right to hope for her to "recover" if she is going to be unwell and uncomfortable, so I am just sending my thoughts out asking for whatever is best for her. If it is her time to go, let it be quick and painless. If she has more in her, then let her recover quickly and b e able to enjoy any time she has left with us. Thanks.  Add my hugs and good wishes to the rest! |
