Know what's interesting. I remember before, about there being a conversation that Adam was like the only male besides Beiber in pop, and that, the only solo male artists in pop leaned toward the urban side, Ie. Jason Derulo, Usher, Neyo etc...so wouldn't it make sense for Adam to lean that way, (if only a little bit) ? Instead of trying to make his mark being like the only mainstream male doing straight up pop, he can be one of the solo males doing urban pop, but still stand out by leaning towards straight up pop? And forgive me if I'm wrong, not much of a Justin Timberlake fan, and never have been, but didn't he start blowing up when he started to lean more towards the urban side of pop, instead of just straight up boyband pop? Yes. This was a conversation on Twitter this morning. When he went solo, he created a hip, sexy, funky, rhythmic-leaning album. He was cool, could move and he seemed to be embraced by men and women, urban-leaning and straight pop. His film career has left an unfilled need in pop – and if Adam's album comes together with the catchy, original sound he seems to be touting, that lane could be wide open.

Of course, JT had the added advantage of being straight. And could thus overtly exploit sex to his advantage. But, yes, there is no one else with the same wide range of skills like both JT and Adam have. And Adam is, of course, a much better singer. Timberlake could sell a jillion records tomorrow - well, he could certainly get the instant omni airplay - but music doesn't seem to captivate him. OTOH, why risk it. Music is barely musical. And selling records is hard, hard, hard work. And critics would be happy to say: Eh, JT just doesn't have it anymore. JT has all the money in the world. If he wanted to record, he would. He could sell out tours in ways no one else could. But he wants other things. And "other things" is an eventuality that we've discussed often that may occur in Adam's carer. Even though we're only waiting on his 2nd album, can't really see Adam is going to stay "only" in music anymore than JT can. Adam gets bored. Or put positively, has a wide range of interests. He'll direct. Or do some techno something like make his own animated narrative musical. Or start a production company. Even Barbara Streisand branched out. Adam will too.

I must be out of the loop. What film has he been in? I believe Timberlake was in that "Friends with Benefits" movie along with Mila Kunis. And a ton of minor roles in low key movies. ETA: Linda beat me to it.

What film has he been in? Oh, oh! I can answer this! Alpha Dog. A movie about drug dealers and he was actually pretty good in it. Wow, I'm just so impressed with myself that I can answer a question. Burrito out, or in, if that suits your fancy. ETA: Damnit. Lindag5223434324 beat me to it with a much better answer. Damn those Texans. (I'm an Okie.
