lurleene, You always seem to read my mind! You express yourself with the same thoughts I have and you say it all so well. Thank you! Adam is a joy in my life. He has enriched my life in many ways. A few additional thoughts: Adam is one of the very few openly gay celebrities who actually lives an openly gay life. I know that sounds cliché, but it's true. He has never compromised on keeping his friendships open and honest. He socializes with whomever he pleases. He is comfortable with himself. I really respect that about him. Also, Adam is one of the very few Idol alums who has a strong international fan base. Even without QAL, Adam has managed to keep fans around the world excited and loyal to him. It's really astounding, especially after almost years. I predict that those world-wide fans will strongly support him with his next album. And hopefully he'll treat us all to a solo tour. lurleene, I really like how you put it all in perspective. He had worked hard, knocked down barriers, taken his lumps with poise and dignity and kept on singing. I feel SO lucky to have him in my life. That is true. But Adam is fortunate that he still lives in an area where he hung out as a young adult, before he became famous. Most of his friends are still based there or in New York and he enjoys the life he has always lived. I think with Sam from the UK and Troye from Australia and Frank grew up in New Orleans, they probably don't have deep ties to the LA gay and drag scene. A lot of gay celebrities may have never been part of that scene to begin with and are not interested. And someone like Neil Patrick Harris is older and married with children. Or their friends may not post pictures of their private outings as often as Adam's friends do. Some friends may be more protective or don't want the attention or be in the spotlight themselves. I don't think it is a case that they are hiding anything. But have different interests and priorities and feel no need to prove how gay they are. I can respect their choices as well. So they live their lives the way they want and Adam lives his the way he wants also (he has nothing to prove either).

Haha, love Oliver's bowtie....he's adorable. Yes! And he’s the dog, that has often been mistaken for Pharaoh by fans. He shares an apartment with Maxwell, who did some dogsitting for Adam as well. It’s nice to see both dogs side by side this time! 😁 Since Adam wrote, that Oliver is instafamous: Here is the link to his dad‘s account. He’s a photographer and you can see really great doggie pictures, when you click on the circle named „Oliver“. instagram.com/lukefontana?utm_source=ig_profile_share&igshid=1ml6u9m4uif7v

He had a very accepting family. He grew up in a very liberal part of the country. He lived on his own in LA, working in the theater world, which is very accepting. You're right that lots of gay celebrities probably had far different experiences growing up. They live their own lives in ways that make them the most happy. It's just nice that Adam gets to do the same thing in his own way, too.
