Don't understand me I think Rami did a phenomenal job and should have won best performance. I just think people, and surprisingly many so-called Adam fans are under estimating how much 6 years of successful touring may have done for this movie! They were working on this movie for ten years. I’m not sure why they would mention Adam. I get this is an Adam Lambert fan site. But he only had a minor cameo.

I saw some people on Twitter last night disappointed Adam was not attending or didn't get any credits and even still some people who think Adam should have played the role of Freddie. The fact is that last night was the night for Rami, Brian and Roger. It was about them and the movie. Adam had absolutely no role in that except for a small cameo where most of the world probably doesn't even know it's him. So to me it showed huge respect that he didn't even tried to get some focus on him. His tweet with congrats was enough and good. I personally believe the movie would have been a big succes regardless of Adam. Queen has been huge for years already. You do see a slight rise because of the concerts and new people getting familiar with Queen because of older generations taking the younger generations, but to be honest that's just a small portion of the people who went to the movie. For instance in my country Bohemian Rhapsody has been reigning the Top 2000 since the chart started in 1999. It's an all time chart of 2000 songs where people vote for. Adam was a teenager when this started. This year it was #1 by a landslide though because of the movie. The tour in North-America is however benefitting hugely from the success of the movie. In 2017 sales went way slower and it took a long time to sell out most of the venues and some even didn't make it. When you look at Ticketmaster now the only tickets left for practically all venues are those crazy expensive platinum tickets, single seats or behind the stage rafter tickets. This was hugely different in 2017. To me Adam is mostly benefitting from the movie and not the other way around. It also brought more people who were against Adam though. With people thinking Marc Martel or all kinds of other singers to be better than Adam and of course the He's no Freddie. Most of those people are fairly new to recent news of Queen and even the Queen fans came to Adam's defense at some point. But that's ok. The tour is mostly sold out and when they come to other continents they will sell out as well. To me it was a huge surprise BoRhap won the best film award. Yes it's a great movie and really an event like some mentioned. Most people who go really like it, but it does have it's flaws. It still has a fairly high rating on IMDB though and is still in the top 250 on #135. ASIB dropped out of that a couple of weeks ago already. Actually BoRhap has the highest score on IMDB of all the movies which were nominated for the Golden Globe best movie (Drama) category. Which says a lot to me. BoRhap 8.3: www.imdb.com/title/tt1727824/?ref_=nv_sr_1Star Is Born, A (2018) 8.1: www.imdb.com/title/tt1517451/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1If Beale Street Could Talk 7.7: www.imdb.com/title/tt7125860/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 (this just came out by the way) BlacKkKlansman 7.6: www.imdb.com/title/tt7349662/?ref_=nv_sr_1Black Panther 7.4: www.imdb.com/title/tt1825683/?ref_=nv_sr_1So I guess it did deserve the win!

I noticed A LOT of apparently very young new Queen fans on twitter and Instagram lately. Some have been fans of one of the actors. Some have seen the film for whatever reason and loved it enough to become a fan. Some did buy tickets for a QAL show. They haven’t seen Queen live in any constellation before. And they don’t know much apart from the film about the band. And I sometimes smile, because they ask very „newby“ questions. I don’t believe, that the majority of the cinema audience went to see the film, because of QAL. A few, yes. Most went, because the music of Queen is legendary and they wanted to know more about that story. None of my friends and colleagues have seen QAL . I couldn’t even persuade one (not interested or too expensive). Still, at least a handful of them went to see the film, some because the film had very good critiques. They all really enjoyed it. Will they attend a concert, if they get the chance now? I’m not sure. Film and concerts are very different, IMO. I also noticed, that QueenOfficial, Brian and Roger gained a lot of new followers on social media since the film has been released. Brian’s number of instagram followers jumped from not more than 500k to 1 million. He might soon overtake Adam, who always had at least twice as many. These fans are all new. I‘m sure, Adam will gain a lot of new fans, when they tour. But he will also face new doubting faces, because he’s not Freddie. I had hoped, he would not have to explain that again during that upcoming tour. Now I fear, it will be necessary. Again, even after 5 years of ongoing touring.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I wasn't speaking about Rami giving credit to Adam last night. I was thinking about Brian. Adam has spoken up highly of Rami on several occasions I was merely saying that in several other instances Rami could have said something nice about Adam or maybe tweeted about Adam after seeing them in concert, he said nothing to compliment Adam after going to a queen +Adam Lambert concert himself as far as I know. Queen + Adam has sold out concerts all over the world prior to this movie so to say the movie is promoting them is ridiculous. This movie has been in works for many years and I know a lot of young concertgoers that found out about Queen in the last six years probably would not have been interested in going to this movie had they not seen Queen + Adam Lambert in concert. I saw Queen + Adam Lambert because I'm a glamberts, I was with a 30 year old and a 33 year old, neither one of them were big Queen fans and only knew a couple of the songs. They both went to see the movie because they loved the concert with Queen and Adam. I knew what you meant. I've always felt the same way about Tyler Warren. I don't think I ever remember him complimenting Adam. Correct me if I am wrong. Yet Rufus always seemed to be flailing over Adam.

He’s „just“ a normal guy from Nashville and maybe he simply doesn’t know, how to connect with Adam. I don’t think, they have much in common. Rufus and Adam became friends and always hung out together on tour, I‘ve never seen Tyler and Adam together. Tyler hangs out with Neil Fairclough. But Tyler speaks highly of his experiences with QAL and usually includes Adam’s name in that. He also taggs Adam in his posts as well as Brian and Roger. I actually don’t see a need for him to flail about Adam. Did Adam ever acknowledge Tyler? (I don’t know.)

I may be reading into something that isn’t here but it kinda feels like there could be some competition between Adam and Rami brought on by some fans. I could be completely out of left field and it wouldn’t be the first time, but it feels as if perhaps one owes the other something? I just see QAL and Bo Rhap as two completely separate things, the only connection being that some Adam fans might not have not seen the movie if he wasn’t their frontman and some new Queen fans are likely to check out QAL now. However, Rami is, IMO, Adam’s counterpart only in that they are both humble and nothing but gracious and grateful regarding the time they have spent in the Queen family thus far. Beyond thrilled for Rami and the guys and thought he might win best actor but never throught they’d win best drama.

And as far as Rami recognizing Adam: He's hardly on social media. Instagram has only 3 posts. Facebook last post was in 2016 and even on Twitter his posts are scarse. He did post this after the concert in September though.
Rami Malek @itsramimalek What a beautiful celebration of Freddie Mercury’s birthday and The Mercury Phoenix Trust last night.
If you want to find some recognition you probably have to look up an interview closely to the concert. Did we all see that? Probabaly not.

BR was a success with Rami. Adam is a success as the frontman for Queen. They have their own lane. But after 5 or 6 years of Adam touring successfully with Queen, it makes no sense to me to say it was because of a movie that just came out this year. Is there more awareness because the movie just made a splash? Yes. But who would want to bet the if Adam had decided to not tour with Queen this time that those tickets would NOT be selling as fast with someone else. Give Rami and the movie credit. But let Adam have his success that he has earned for what he has done instead of giving it to someone else. The same applies to Rami, his success is because of him. And TBH, I don't care who thinks Adam is not Freddie after seeing Rami in a movie. I would not trade the sexy, handsome and great vocalist that is Adam Lambert for anyone. The earned accolades for one should not be used to take the earned accolades away from another. I celebrate both Adam and Rami. Neither could accomplish what the other one has but they have both done their jobs more than well.

I think,Rami complimented the whole experience of the concert. Highly. And everytime he’s seen one (that’s about 3 times) and has been asked. He didn’t mention names, if I‘m not mistaken. But why should he? They are a band.
