The movie success must be bringing a whole range of emotions to Bri and Roger. But the fact that they are a functioning, world wide sold out arena touring band takes the current moment in time to a whole different level. It is really one thing to be grey haired past icons remembering their fallen band mate and quite another to participate as a relevant, box office topping touring band!
And THAT IS ADAM’s huge and undeniable contribution! HE and only HE made it happen! There is no way around it! GFG!

CrownePlaza_Pitt @crowneplazapitt Were #QueenConcert tickets on your holiday wish list? They'll be joined by the incredible #AdamLambert at #PPGPaintsArena this summer! #WeWillRockYou Pittsburgh was one of the “slower” selling venues...well, now they added the sections on extreme sides, almost behind the stage...everything else is pretty much gone.

Brian and Roger haven't just been sitting around in retirement for years. They are, as you say, a living, breathing, vibrant band that performs as well as it ever has. That's an important thing to remember. So many bands of their era have been done for years. And yes! Adam was the impetus for the revival of Queen into its present, world-class, arena-filling incarnation. It's quite a feat and yet they are as sharp and exciting as ever.

While I did not want to hijack the well deserved glory moments for Bohemian Rhapsody and Rami last night in order to promote Adam, my heart wanted him to get a bit of credit too. After all, without him Brian and Roger would likely be at a very different place right now. Not sure if they would have had the confidence as "grey haired past icons" to push for the movie to be finished and promoted.

My opinion and likely unpopular ... Rami continues the tradition of physical transformation being rewarded - something I found really distracting when I saw the movie...worst wig ever and the overbite from hell made 5x worse than Freddie’s was - but awards love that stuff so no surprise he won. The elephant in the room of the movie is it’s probably the first movie to win where not only was the original director (main director Bryan Singer) not present he wasn’t even mentioned. And while I agree the critical drubbing was a bit over the top and The movie was a perfectly pleasant way to spend a few hours, l also didn’t feel like it was an award winning level film. YMMV. I have a different opinion on the overbite. Freddie was self conscious of his teeth, and he had learned to cover them with his upper lip so they didn't seem so prominent in most pictures. BUT, when you look at some of Freddie's performance pictures where he wasn't consciously covering his teeth, they are VERY prominent. Here are a couple of examples: ![](https://i.imgur.com/OlPeZxw.jpg) Rami accepted the prominent teeth as part of his role, and made no attempt to hide them as Freddie did ...

I think it was less about the physical transformation that was rewarded and much more about Rami's acting. His physical resemblance sure helped but the way he transpired Freddie's stage demeanor especially during the Live Aid scene was a stunner for me.

There is no point in arguing with Martel fans. Their opinions will not be changed, no matter what. They are loyal to the performer they have grown to love. My only issue with them is the obvious fact that Brian and Roger did not pick Marc as their frontman because he looks, sounds and acts like Freddie. That's why they chose him for the Queen Extravaganza and not for their own frontman. It would be absolutely ridiculous to see a Freddie look-alike, sound-alike fronting for Queen. But apparently the Marc fans don't understand that.
If I understand correctly, the singing in BoRhap was done with recordings of Freddie's voice and also a little bit of Marc's voice, too. That's fine. It all worked out. The passion of fans will never be diminished by simple logic. Love and passion are not logical.

QPL is a huge business. This film was long in the works before Adam, even with the starts and fits of directors, scripts etc. As much as I love QAL and its success, I keep my rose colored glasses to a minimum with regards to Adam and the film. QPL is a machine and live touring is just one piece of it. I would never underestimate their appetite for getting this film made.
